.. for me it is. Does anyone happen to know what wire, in the back of OEM head unit for a 2019 4runner TRD-OR, is the video signal from the rear view camera?

I’m working on a project to divert the rear view camera (along with an additional front camera) to a 8” Samsung tablet. If I can identify the correct circuit I think I’ve got enough other intel to make this work. If successfully completed I will post pics. Thanks in advance for any help rendered.

Unfortunately I'm not exactly sure what this harness does but it may give you what you need.

I’m pretty sure the harness made by @TundraTex does pretty much exactly what you’re looking for. As far as I can tell, it intercepts the video cable, and converts it to rca yellow so that a selector box can send it from either the front or rear camera to the yellow rca back into the head unit. I don’t see any reason you couldn’t use that port to send signal to the tablet instead of back to the factory head unit. That would also give you everything including a switch to install the front camera. Just a few minutes brainstorming about it though, I could be wrong.

You are correct @OverRunner. The FRAC Harness is plug and play so you don't have to splice into any factory wiring. And just as you stated, the rear camera video is broken out to an RCA, and a second RCA input for a front camera is also provided. If for some reason a person wanted to display this on a tablet instead of the OEM Head Unit display, the FRAC output to the Head Unit is also an RCA connector so that could feed a video switch linked to the Tablet. Then you would just need the proper convertor to transition composite video to whatever format is required for the tablet.
