Yeah I don't understand that one at all. It's just one less feature for seemingly no reason.

No, it must be that Toyota thought the truck needed to be lighter than the OR by 0.12 ounces.

That's right. There's no other way to look at it. Those blinkers are a great safety feature.

That's why I sold my pro, got top dollar for it too. You can get a gx460 for a little less than a pro. Yes it's for luxury and less ground clearance but for the money it's better than the pro. V8 is very nice too.

The GX is pretty much just as badass as any 4runner. Aside from a locker, it has the same off-road goodies. I wouldn't mind one.

I agree! Had I known of the gx460 before I bought the 4Runner I probably would have bought that and modified it like the 4Runner. I see those things are pretty good looking modified.

I was always under the impression that they did it for off-road reasons. If you clipped off a mirror it’s easier to replace without the turn signal in it? Maybe?

I’m back in a 2022 pro , just because it is one of the most dependable SUV , paid MSRP and no rip off price adjustment jerkoff dealers .
I have had about 4 of the 5th gen 4runner over the years allways seem to come back to them . I still have a 2020 LC200 and its a great SUV but a big pig to be honest , I can relate 4runner to more like the 80 series land cruiser and more of its heritage , … you have to use the touch screen for everything on the LC200 , its all wheel drive , no lockers … The 4runner is a great machine in current platform .
However my last 4runner was in 2018 when I started to buy land cruisers , I had one 2018 , 2019 for the wife and my current is a 2020 LC200 , sold / traded the wife’s LC 200 a few moths ago . She preferred the BMW over the LC200 and with the insane prices I got rid of her 2019 .
I traded on a Diesel Jeep Wrangler and big check back , allways good day when you leave a dealer with one of there vehicles and big check too boot .
The 4.0 in the 4runner is a solid power plant I had that in 4runners and Tacomas allways good to me .
But if you have a chance to drive a Diesel Jeep Wrangler 3.0 do it … comparing the 280 hp 420 ft torque and the 8 speed trans , would have loved to have that power train in the 4runner .
You can’t go wrong with a 4runner and could possibly be the last year for the 4.0 and 4runner as we know it !

If it was for "off-road reasons" it would be because the mirrors are needed as mirrors off-road, not additional turn signals. A broken mirror is just as much trouble to replace without integrated turn signals as with.

The mirrors fold both ways. How close are you getting to trees exactly? And if you do manage to scrape a mirror off, it's not like they'd be any easier to replace. They still have wiring for the defrosters and electric adjustment motors. The harness for the premium mirror adds a few more in the same loom. You can even retrofit the good mirrors onto the Pro and others using an adapter harness by @Old Red . Next you're gonna tell me they didn't include the sunroof on the 15-19 Pro for maximum structural rigidity.

not to mention they just added BSM to the mirrors. i wonder why canadian and US specs have different features.

still dumb that a vehicle starting at ~$38k doesnt have dual zone climate and remote start standard. forget the turn signal on the mirror.

Either overland your vehicle or idiots will do worse with shopping carts and doors.

Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Many wish they had your rig and more never get to see the nature of our country. Enjoy your spent money and just make sure to wax and ceramic coat on occasion to minimize your pinstripes.

This is exactly why mine has trail rash all over, and has since about 4 months after I bought it. I bought it to use and enjoy, not look at. Although, I still enjoy looking at it. :)

Why the attitude though? I simply said it’s what I thought, not that I’m saying it’s 100% correct. Are t we all on the same side in owning these cars? Would it have been that difficult to reply without the attitude?

I was under the impression that PROs started out as non-KDSS OffRoads (not OR Premiums which had the heated mirrors and turn signals) which were modified at the port. So no premium mirrors.
