    Good Afternoon,

    Just wanted to say hello.

I just received my new '22 Limited 4Runner and am loving it so far. Great SUV's and I've always liked them.

I'm coming from too many years of Range Rover Sports. Grew tired of the unreliability and the atrocious depreciation. And tired of the blingy / Kardashian look anymore. (ha).

My 4Runner came with the center counsel safe. It seems handy, however, it is also unhandy as it takes up the entire center counsel and required one more step to access the cubby.

Does anyone know if that safe can be easily removed and just have the normal center counsel cubby area?

    Thanks to all.

    Tom

Should be easy...2 bolts on the bottom I'm assuming as that's all there is in stock form.

Thank you for your replies and the welcome. Looking forward to the discussions.

Emmantik, you were right on. Two lag bolts under the felt pad towards the back and it pulled right out. Put the lags back in and its done.

Now I have a heavy console safe I need to find a use for. Ha

Console safe is the number one required mod for every vehicle I have owned. I would put it back in.

It is handy for security if you carry a fire arm or store your Breitling and Rolex watches in there, however, it is unhandy for everyday use. And that's the only storage area up front.
