Catalytic converter shield(ideas???)Love my Trail Edition!!

Was up in the air about what brand ladder to add. Couldn’t be happier with my decision of C4! Super sturdy and worth the wait!! I did paint the emblems and hardware, continuing the blacked out look. I also added the storage panel system in the back, new decals to rear and back windows to give a personalized touch, front and rear facing cameras and led grill lights! I chose the amber color because I thought it was a nice touch to the already smoked out headlights! I’m probably one of the few that loves the TRD Pro rack, but it’s PERFECT for my lifestyle and not to mention, I love the way it looks! 2014 Trail Edition…..
Anyone up in the air about KDSS- it’s amazing. The next thing I’d like to add is the catalytic converter shield. Anyone have any suggestions if you’ve done this? Thanks for reading.

 

I have an RCI tranny case that partially covers the CAT. I think CBI makes a plate that covers it pretty well (not rectangular).

Has anybody used one of these? Is this something that will rattle or vibrate like crazy after installed?

 

If you bolt it down properly I don't see why they would rattle. My RCi transmission plate and coupled with the front skid plate, no noise, solid.

 

I was looking for a Lo-Pro bumper the other day and saw a company that made a dedicated Cat skid/ anti theft shield for the 5th Gen. I wish I would have paid more attention to it, but there are some out there... If I find it. Ill post a link.

 

I strongly endorse talonsgarage. simple install and piece of mind.

 

PD says use high heat bright colored spray paint and etch last of vin # in it. Hopefully no scrap yards would take it if they’re like that, but who knows.

 

I got the Talons Garage catalytic converter anti-theft plate. Also ordered it with their security bolts. Their products are not 100% theft proof but I feel more comfortable with it on. Hopefully these thieves will get discouraged and move on to another vehicle.
