Time to buy new tires and am looking to put a larger size then the original 265/70/17's.
Was looking at 285"s but research shows that's not going to work...

So, next in line was 275/75/17's. I see a lot about 275/70/17's but nothing on 275/75/17's, I like the added height with the 75's.

According to the size charts they will fit on stock 2019 SR5 wheels and clear the mud flaps.

    Any advise?

I have experience with BFG KO2 275/70R17. Sadly 275 only have Load E option and I did not like the onroad feel. It was too hash. But 275/70R17 did not rub on TRD ORP even though I had additional weight with sliders.

When I look at 275/70R17 for my TRD Pro I wanted to skip Load E tires as I want acceptable comfort on road.

There were no Standard Load A/T tires in that size. So my next option is Load C tires. There were 2 tires with 3 peak mountain snow flake rating. Falken Wildpeak AT3W & Nokian Rotiiva AT Plus. Falken Wildpeaks even though they were load C they were heavier than most Load E tires. Its a big increase from stock Nitto A/T weight. So it was out of my list. I ordered Nokian Rotiiva AT Plus but the sidewall does not seem to be strong enough for offroad use. It looked like a regular all season tire. I also contacted Nokian but they never responded. So I told Discount tire that I won't buy Nokian Rotiiva AT Plus either.

I end up getting stock size (265/70R17) Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac for now. When I'm ready to upgrade I will go with 285/70R17 with a lift. IMO 275 does not have options good enough for the 4Runner.

I may be wrong here, but I don’t think there is a 275/75/17 tire option.

Nothing is found on Tire Rack or Discount Tire websites in that size, so...

Me like this thread! Cause if the Falken WP's are screwed at 275, it looks like 285's and a body mount chop are in my future....

There are Falkens in 275, just not 275/75-17, apparently. They are heavy, though.

Odd..I thought I saw 275/75/17's..maybe it was 285/75/17's..? Yes, not seeing any!

OK..lets skip to the chase...what is the TALLEST tire I can install on my 17" rims? Pure stock vehicle.

    Thinking 255/80/17??

The stock SR5 comes with 265/70/R17. I wrapped my 17" TRD's in the same dimension Falken Wikdpeaks. The below should be no problem:
