I don't believe everything I read on the internet or anywhere else. I am however an adult with a functioning brain and the ability to detect the difference between reality and BS. I therefore I see that the modern democrat party is a stunningly destructive force. I am sorry for you if you are too naive to see that.

Well if you want to get personal, this will devolve faster than it already has. So I'll just leave it at "lol, ok"

I think you're the one who got personal when you condescendingly told me to not to believe everything I read on the internet. Some might label you a hypocrite, but I don't want to get personal so I'll just leave it at "lol, ok"

I've ignored this thread for a couple days but came back to see how it had (d)evolved. Probably best to just let this one go.

The TJ Wrangler forum had an option to ignore a thread. It wouldn't even show up on the list if you selected that option.

Mods, got anything like that on 4runners.com?

Guess I'll go visit TW for a while.

It's all relative. 20 years ago we paid more to have our current backyard landscaped(no pool) than our first new home cost, 30 years prior. It'll get worse before it gets better.........if it does?

If we go into a recession with the consistent inflation these prices will dive. I would hate to be the guy grossly overpaying for a vehicle only to lose so much more several years down the road. But everyone is different.

Yes very true Moon Landing. I just meant from the perspective of paying $7-20k or whatever the crazy markup is.

I would hate to think I threw that money away unnecessarily only to need it down the road. But some people obviously can absorb the loss. On the flip side lots of there are lots of people taking on more than they should.

And that says a lot about our society in general. We have moved beyond the days of being closely tied to those who oft shared lessons learned from truly 'bad times'(the great depression). I'm reminded of the time my Dad told my older brother to quit playing with the cars cigarette lighter.........he heard but didn't heed........until one day, it fried the tip of his finger.

To be fair, they also had a Lime Rush Pro in the showroom as well. With an absolutely retarded markup.

As someone that owns a 21 lunar rock pro, I don’t mind seeing this at all. I’ve already been offered 10k more than I paid for mine. If the bubble breaks then so be it. I keep my pro. If it remains? Well, if the new 4runner or possibly Sequoia really tickle my fancy, I have a heck of a lot of trade in equity on my side.

I thought this as well. Got $2k for my Tacoma MORE than what I paid for it new. 90k miles. Still spent $6k above sticker for my 4 runner!! Two in so cal…one was just a color I refused to get for maintenance purposes. Lets go Brandon? Not sure what else to post? Just crazy hypocrisy.

Trump supporters? Lol. It’s not the radical right that voted for trump. Sorry. It was people who despised the establishment that prayed on people for votes. Absolutely disgusting.

We are currently witnessing a peaceful protest from Canadians. No looting, no burning, no destruction. That’s bad? How? We are no longer energy independent. We pay more for EVERYTHING. We are a joke. Laughing stock of the world. Our president can’t formulate a sentence. It’s embarrassing.

blame trump all you want. My gas was cheaper, unemployment higher (in every way) and our economy was booming….. I’m budgeting to get to work at the moment because of gas prices. My cost of living has gone up due to food prices. I have packages that are on back order for MONTHS.

I don’t care about political party. I really don’t. Blaming a president for what is happening 2 years in is insane. EVEN HIS OWN PARTY IS REJECTING HIM. All facts. Crazy low approval rating. You can’t blame trump for that. Wake up. Vote for what you believe, and keep on keeping on.

I’m sorry I don’t agree with you. Just dealing what has been handed to me.

Well, its not the consumer that is winning in this one, but Corporate America...

    https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/corporate-profits

Corporate profits in the United States rose 3.4 percent to a fresh record high of USD 2.52 trillion in the third quarter of 2021, slowing from a 10.5 percent jump in the previous period and compared with preliminary estimates of 4.3 percent. Undistributed profits climbed 5.3 percent to $1.08 trillion and net cash flow with inventory valuation adjustment, the internal funds available to corporations for investment, increased 1.8 percent to $3.14 trillion. Also, net dividends increased 2.0 percent to $1.44 trillion. source: U.S. Bureau of Economics Analysis

Corporate America ALWAYS wins. It's almost as if the whole system is setup to make sure of that.

Re gas prices, the oil industry is VERY happy right now as well.

Big oil has also recorded record profits last quarter. This is capitalism at its finest people, it’s not the current administrations fault as much I would also like to blame. Global crisis and the top are profiting like no other. These are the facts, not internet news based on some crazy guys opinion.

Yeah, I think anyone who is blaming American politics for a global issue are being short sighted and just want to complain about the opposing party.

I want to agree with both of you, I just can’t fully. We went from exporting some oil, to now begging OPEC to produce more. I’m sure there are more things that haven’t helped pull us out of this mess. This administration came in and just started reversing anything they could that the last administration did. This is going to cause people to complain. This administration starts qualifying folks for positions based on their sexual orientation and skin color, this is going to make people complain.

And last, it is the job of the government to fix the issues that are currently plaguing our country. Let’s start with supply chain issues, let’s toss out there inflation, I’m sure I could come up more things. That all being said, any one in power right now has a tough job.
