What’s up? I’m coming from the Tacoma forum. I’m from Washington state, but currently living in Southeast Idaho. Recently graduated from BYU-Idaho with a teaching degree (Spanish/ESL) and work as a juvenile corrections officer.
Just sold my 2020 Tacoma, so I could get my wife into a Highlander that she wanted. Now I’m looking to get OUT of my Corolla and into a 4 Runner. Loved my Tacoma but at 6’1” 250lbs., I need something with more room overall.
Not sure if I like the 4th Gens or early 5th Gens better, but I’m hoping to get a good amount of knowledge here before buying.

Welcome! I made the switch from a 2017 Tacoma to a 2020 4Runner, and have no regrets

Used prices are so crackhead right now, I would just look at a new one from an MSRP dealership first.

Hey, thanks! I actually have a saved search with notifications set up. I just have to sell my car before I can make the move!

What are your personal pros and cons of making the switch?

Well I had a 2018 Trd Pro Tacoma great truck but underpowered and did not pull the Boat well with the 24 foot Long trailer and a roof top tent on the truck I also did not like backing up into my pad because it was up hill.
The 2020 Trd Pro 4Runner has the Power and handles everything well even when it is loaded and I am also near the same gas Mileage with much more comfort since being 6'2" I fit well into the 4Runner.

As for Con? if I did not have a 2007 Tundra I would have to use a trailer for the Dirty stuff or large items no big thing.
