that they have a silver 4R for me coming next month. It has KDSS but missing the multi-terrain monitor. It doesn't have the moonroof which is great since I never use it. I wonder if I should just take this one and install a front camera? Been looking at videos of the Toyota panoramic/multi-terrain monitors, and the resolution doesn't seem very good.

The MTM system includes other cameras but I have seen it in person and can confirm the crap resolution.

OK thanks for the confirmation. Now I have to decide if it's worth having the dealer put in better shocks since KDSS 4Rs are supposed to handle pretty well already on the road.

I would drive it for a bit before upgrading the suspension unless you are doing some serious crawling right away. KDSS is a great system. MTM is not worth waiting for IMHO. I drove a Tacoma with it a few years ago and bought the identical one without it. Our limited has MTM and I would be just as happy without it and saving the $800 or whatever it is.

I have a 2022 pro. I was wanted the 360 and birds eye view real bad, but honestly the camera quality is absolute trash. Like I’m sure there’s $30 cameras on Amazon that would be equal or better quality. I had the front view on while in 4lo rock crawling, and it was borderline useless.

I freaking love the 4R though, just wanted to help you make that decision. You can probably find better options aftermarket, hopefully something clean looking after install.

Thanks guys for the info. I'm going to go ahead and get it and will leave the shocks alone and drive it for awhile as recommended.

I got these Trail Edition wheels a little while ago and hopefully they will look OK on a silver 4R.

Those should look great on a silver 4R.

i saw these on a lunar rock and it made me wish all trd offroad wheels were painted a solid color. They do look nice.

Thanks for the images. The resolution definitely isn't very good.

the cameras on my 2022 Tacoma are very disappointing tbh. So you’re not missing much, for the price of the vehicle I thought the cameras would of been better. It’s a cool feature though.

Can you post some pics of silver 4R with those wheels. I’ll bet those look sweet and unique also. Congratulations
