We just got our first snow in the Philadelphia area , I just got my 2022 Pro did pretty well we got 4 inches of snow .
First snow for the pro has 100 miles on it , its my least valuable vehicle … hate say that , still hated to see the truck covered in snow slop and salt .
It did pretty well , did not even have to engage the 4x4 .
I am lucky to have a shop that I put a hose and one of those water wands used to water a garden with the adjustable head to wash vehicles off , I let employees hose there vehicles off if they come in early they can use the hose just to keep the corrosion to a minimum .
I hosed the underside off just to keep it clean , may do some corrosion protection down the road .
Do you guys wash off your vehicles after storms ?

after every storm? no. probably once every 2 weeks during the winter i'll run it thru a touchless carwash. and i don't undercoat my vehicles like a lot of the more hard core owners on here do.

further, salt isn't nearly as bad as that new brine they put down as a preventative measure.

I wash every time when there is no more salt on roads. I wash the car with regular garden hose to wash off the salt and dirt, then run to automatic car wash near me before the water dry.

Me personally use 4H when ever I see snow on the road, even 0.5 inch.. ha ha.. I'm a scary guy.. I also upgraded my tires to winter rated A/Ts from the stock regular A/T.

I used to go to a car wash once every two weeks and blast the undercarriage.

I still have some mild to moderate surface rust but no cancer.

I wash my vehicles first chance I get after a storm. Gotta get that liquid rust off the vehicle asap.

Yeah, I cleaned my 4R after visiting the snow where salt was being used. Probably tough to do if you are always in the snow, but it is easier if you visit the snow periodically.

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
Thankfully, "they" don't use salt, or similar, here in Southern Oregon, where I live. Here they use crushed lava rock. Gives great traction, it really does. Embeds itself down into the snow's surface, and the grip you get from it is awesome. It's not a cure-all for ice and snow, but it sure helps.

Best, it's totally non corrosive. Maybe a bit hard oon painted surfaces, and I won't swear to it, I think I got a rock in one f my from brake, but I might be wrong on that. My tires rub just a little bit at full throw, and I heard a slight grinding when I cranked the wheel full right to get into my driveway. I hope to heck it's not a rock in the brake, anyway. Since my wife just got out of the hospital, including an uninsured life-flight trip, we're gonna have some bills, let me tell you.

Anywho, good snow cruising to all :D

Salt / brine - it all SUCKS

I would look into a application of Woolwax to protect your investment from the dreaded CANCER

Definitely! I was just talking to a co-worker that recently bought a Tacoma about this, he said I thought they fixed the frame rust issue. Me and another Toyota owner there said nope, definitely get it treated because it's going to rust.

Also, I have a friend whose sailboat is named The Blue Pearl.

Well, todays 4x4 systems are performing excellent, regardless of the brand. You know what makes snow/ice driving easy? Not the car, but the tires. A Corolla with proper high quality snow tires probably outperforms a 4R with stock duellers.
I never got stuck with my cobalt with xice Michelins, but I got stuck with stock tires on my Ram. Northern Canada is unforgiving…
