Greetings! New to the community and I have a question for everyone
My 2015 has just standard mirrors which I would like to upgrade to heated with puddle lamps
Will my 4 runner have the harness for them?
    Thanks

Just curious how do you know you don't have heated mirrors? You don't have this button?

I think that’s just for the windshield, hatch window, and quarter panel windows. My side mirrors don’t defrost.

@Will270 probably not, will need to install.

It's for rear view mirror as well.

I think @kmeeg is on to something. That button is definitely for the mirrors as well, and has their graphic included. Can confirm functionality as well after driving through a blizzard last week. I wouldn’t know if it (the button graphic) is different for non-heated mirrors.

On the ORP I would assume so, but I have a standard SR5.

Next time it freezes over I’ll leave my car out of the garage to confirm! I may have been missing out all along:eek:

If you're talking about the rear side windows, those lines are antennas, not heating elements. The mirrors are heated, just not particularly well.

2021 TRDORP I'm going to check mine. Usually the button for heated mirrors is next to the mirror adjustment.

My 2001 SR5 Sport had heated side mirrors, and it was the same button as the rear defroster. Same on my 2018.

SO before I tear a mirror apart, does anyone know if the wiring harness is in the mirror housing IF YOU DONT have heated mirrors or turn signals?

    It's a long list...
All 4Runners 2014 and later have heated mirrors. The wiring is there to the mirror glass. However, there is no wiring for the additional features of upgraded mirrors with the turn signals. It requires more than just swapping mirrors.

Good to know about the heaters. Kinda figured about the . An example is in my last Jeep. The rear wiper, wash and defrost all have one bundle that runs to the rear. If you buy a convertible, that bundle is still there, even though none of those are on a convertible.
