What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

picked up the rago dash mount for xmas...got some projects to look forward to!

Updating my 2010-2013 taillights to the 14-22 lights. Removed old ones and cleaned housing. Just need new assemblies to arrive next week.

 

Finally got the c4 bumper on. Need to get my skid back on and had to order new brackets for the diode fog lights

 

Rolled lucky 7’s last night

 

Installed black Morimoto XB LED fogs. I wanted to delete as much silver/chrome as possible on the outside of this truck. The black really offsets all the green

How does this work with the TSS sensor?

 

I did the grill badge and installed the LEDs in the interior.

 

I don't think 2019 had TSS, or at least that adaptive cruise control radar in the front bumper

Just added a Garmin mini 2 with Donger adapter. Easy install.

What lift did u get. I have had the 2 1/2" foam cell pro 0-110 lbs in front and 2" performance load 0-660 in the rear for a while now and have not installed it yet. Second guessing myself. Would you do it all over again or go a different route?

Guys, I need some help these two things in the middle of the pic what look to be an emission pump of such? I think these are what is called an A.I.R Pump? The reason I ask is I know these 4.0 are noisy and these two are making a hell of a ticking and rattling noise. The dealer told me it would be $159.00 diagnosis fee I was like WTF are you serious it's under warranty @ 26K. We all know what Toyota says "thats normal" and keeps the $159 bucks. there is one on each side of the engine just above the valve covers.

 

That is one of 2 Air infection valves. Unless you have "Check Engine" light on these are fine. Air infection valves do not make noise.

 

Well, its not tossing any codes but they're sure making a lot of noise and they just started making the noise if I am not mistaken there is a small valve piston under a reed valve my Tundra had them that looked like this and on the 17 Taco they were not noisy.

 

Added these side door storage fins or whatever they're called. Another thing these 4Rs should've come with. Makes the side slots a lot more useful now.

If I am not mistaken Toyota had tons of issues with these on the Tundras (moisture getting in them) and I think there has been issues on some Tacomas but Toyota has not done anything yet.... Like I say I am just trying to figure out why they are making noise

 

mine make a noise…they sound like a little jet engine, especially when they shut down. You could also say they sound like a little vacuum cleaner, but that’s not as cool.

Im pretty sure these air pumps are supposed to make sound.
