Why did you install a new radiator on your 2020 truck? I find it hard to believe the CSF unit, which is of great quality, would offer very much benefit over stock as far as cooling is concerned. I installed three of them on my 911 Turbo when my stock ones burst in hopes they would create better cooling, but the perform the same as my OEM.

I spiced up the 'Pro logo in the three locations with some red vinyl overlay stickers.

 

Are the "TRD" portion of the emblems on the Pros gloss or matte black stock?

 

Mine came with the matte black, black out package.

 

Nice job, but aren't you concerned about your control head getting overheated when it's in bright sunlight during the summer?

 

We tow a trailer a great deal and are often in the mountains. I found this to be a good solution for keeping the transmission temps within range and being more efficient at cooling the engine. I realize some may consider my mod unnecessary, but I would prefer to err on the side of caution and never worry about my transmission being fatigued by high operating temperatures.

I can tell you that after installing the radiator, it has a larger capacity. I drained just over 1 gallon of coolant from the original radiator and the new one took 1.5 gallons. I will be receiving a quart of transmission fluid today, and will be checking the transmission fluid levels in the next day or two. I suspect I will need to add a bit of trans fluid, do the larger radiator capacity as well.

Anyone know if Toyota makes matte black badges and not overlays for the "TRD", "Off", and "Road" words? I can't seem to find them.

 

I did a lot of research and it’s a very common location, and I think it’s inboard enough to be out of direct sunlight
If it seems to be a problem I will come up with a solution

Still waiting on an ORP but got these delivered today. I'm surprised at the weight since I thought they would be over 30lbs but weighing it on a bathroom scale with me holding it, the wheel only was 27lbs. Pretty happy with that and how they look.

 

I don’t think Toyota makes them, but I think I saw some on Etsy

Yup, OEM. I'll use an Autel TPMS tool to copy the codes off the ORP when it shows (who knows when) onto new Autel MX sensors and install them on these wheels and take them to the tire shop for new tires. I can use the wheels off the ORP for winter tires.
