    Rago vs Victory vs ICS

Anyone using either of the listed dash mounts for mounting a CB radio ?

Are there any other manufacturers that make these dash kits ?

All 3 seem to be very solid when mounted & my General HP40W is pretty heavy. (I believe about 8 lbs)

Pretty happy with my ICS. I haven't mounted a radio yet but it won't be a full radio, just the remote display.

ICS is excellent. Instaltions feels a little invasive but once you get over the fact that you know own this car and you’re making it more useful it’s fine. Some drilling is required but it’s minor. I actually drilled two more holes and ran my CarPlay wire behind the console and it comes out on top by the mount.

Thanks for the input guys. I have watched the install videos from all 3 mentioned & I am leaning toward the ICS for the numerous mounting slots on top. Install looks pretty simple & drilling the holes doesn't bother me, cause' I'm keeping this 4R forever !!!

Currently have an ICS. Installation was a little annoying when you had to cut some tabs. Also it compressed my trim a little which ticked off my OCD. But happy overall and great installation videos on you tube. I plan to mount my SPOD touch screen there in the future.

I just received my Ragu, which I picked because it's less imposing visually. I was pleasantly surprised by the heft/feel of it. Definitely sturdy and well-built.
Intend to sit my Lincoln + II unlocked 11/10 meter rig on this mount. Can't wait to get back home (down in SW Florida right now) to install the mount/radio/antenna etc....

Either a higher-end bottom-coil like a Wilson or a 4'-5' Firestik thru a Fire-Ring coax. Anxious to see what hell I do or don't go thru trying to get a half-decent SWR over 3-4 MHz

I've been on 25+ trail rides this past year most everyone has FRS or GMRS radios.

I was going to go with the Rago antenna mount + 102" whip on the rear hatch, but have heard problems with grounding. Now I am debating between a Stryker A10 mag mount or a Sirio Performer 5000 mag mount.

I have a rago, holds my CB and Ram phone mount fine. Only minor complaint is trying to fit my fingers in to change the time, so I’ll use a stick next time.

Funny you should mention that. I was/am debating opening up the....opening, maybe 1/2". Don't care about the clock, but I use that space to store my reading glasses. Getting old(er) sucks the big one

Does it impede forward visibility by much? I'm going back and forth between ICS and Rago. Some say Rago covers up the clock, but I rather not see the clock vs not seeing obstacles.

So, no one has tried the new Victory 4X4 system? It is cheaper and looks like an easier installation than the alternatives. I've bought sliders from them and had a good experience so that's 3 points in their favor.

ICS for the win man, ill be writing it up as part of my mod voyage later.

    2B5948D9-29B2-4BF4-A676-C4C765E8B62B.jpg

Middle left is for a planned Garmin Overlander. The heavy-duty arm on the left is for my wife's tablet so she can watch movies on long drives. There is still plenty of space for a future radio walkie talkie mount. It is spacious as heck. The mount gives me un-impeded view of the infodash.

All hardware on the ICS is RAM Mounts.

ICS is perfect for view of both. Without items attached your sight line of the road is not hindered.

I have my phone mount offset and low, so I dont have any issues seeing the road and the A/C vent is not blocked either.

Installed the Rago the other day. It covers up the clock a little bit but im also 6'5" so im looking down at an angle. i just have to lean a little to see it, which is no big deal. pretty straightforward installation with the video. they skipped one step in the video where you take out the 4 bolts before pulling the top part of the radio/screen so i was pulling on it like a dumbass for a minute before i realized my mistake!

im parked on an angle but took a quick pic. i was freezing by then so i didnt mess with actually mounting anything yet haha

Looks nice! I couldn't drill the top screws without removing it since my drill was a little large. Came out slightly slanted, but nothing noticeable. Being able to see the clock is a little over-rated since anything I mount up there (phone, tablet, etc) all have clocks on their displays. Also, make sure to double check all connections. I guess I loosely clipped on the gps antenna plug and it came undone after few days of driving. Couldn't figure out why, and at the suggestion of this forum's member, I opened it up and saw the clip just dangling.

mine is a touch slanted as well haha. but youd really have to be staring at it to notice. i think my hangup about not blocking the clock is that its always there and i look at it so often, due to temp and mileage, not just the clock. but youre right, that info is available on my phone, so im not too worried about it...i had just grown attached LOL!

ill keep an eye on my gps, etc...i appreciate the heads up on that!

tbh i just dont like the looks of it. i have their center console molle panels which are great. i like their stuff and i like them as a company. i'll probably order the rear hatch molle at some point as well.
