Hey guys, I just picked up a 2022 TRD Sport 4runner 4x4. I’m looking into putting some new wheels and tires on my rig without lifting it. Do you think it will look weird doing this?

It seems like the Sport 4runner is lower to the ground than other models.
If anyone has pictures, please post them! Here’s a few pics of my vehicle.
    thanks in advance!

You should be fine with 17” wheels and 265/70/17 tires

So the Sport has the same rims and front end as the Limited?

Yes, minus a lot of the chrome, apparently.

OP, your 4R appears lower to the ground due to the bumpers and rocker panels that are just like those on a Limited.

    Go for it.

Look on Facebook Market Place of Craigslist for some take off 17 inch 4Runner wheels.
    Add some All Terrains.

Thanks for the info everyone! Looks like I’ll be going with these icon rebounds and some 265/70/17 Toyo open country A/T 3’s.
I’ll show pics once it’s all done.

You know, you can't add Icon wheels without adding an Icon Suspension...
Pretty sure that is a rule.

    Kidding...

Haha! I’m trying to piece everything together! I won’t be doing suspension for at least another 6 months.

    Yes! Another AG Sport!

Get rid of the XREAS and put on a coilovers/lift. You wont be disappointed.

If you get rid of the XREAS, is there really an advantage to the Sport over the SR5?

Not sure. I test drove SR5, Offroad and TRD Sport and didn’t really notice any differences. I went with the Sport mainly cuz it was different and if the 23 models do go thru a remodel, the TRD sport will be rare as the Pro’s.

I dont think you can go wrong with some icons! If your waiting 6 months for suspension, my best advice is go ahead and get it on order!

I keep asking myself, why would anyone buy a Limited now that you can have the same look and most features minus the ugly chrome for $6k less!? Wish I could find someone selling their color matches exterior pieces..

Anyhow, here is my 2015 Limited with lift and 17" wheels:

I think it’s the bumpers that make it look that way.

I just picked up a ‘22 AG Sport. Exactly like yours. It’s going in next week for 2” leveling kit, 17” black TRD wheels and tires, blackout emblem kit, predator step bar, and the roof cargo rack.

Complete the blacked out look with swapping the headlights/tail lights, fog lights and side mirror turn signal with the smoked assemblies from morimoto or alpharex. Highly recommend morimoto over alpharex tho.

Yes agree. I have the gunmetal grey 4runner lifestyle fog lights in the garage already. Next project will be the tail lights and headlights and a ladder on the back. Then we are done!

Nice, what tail lights are you planning to go with btw ? I looked at all the options and I prefer the factory only because of how much light output it has with the turn as brake mod and just wished that there was a smoked alternative. All the other aftermarket tail lights just look too cheesy IMO.

Also if you happen to find overlays for the TRD SPORT emblem, lmk.

Amazon has them for $66 right now, it’s just made for the Sequioa so you have to search Sequioa black TRD Sport Emblems.

I was going to go with the Morimoto tail light kit . Just haven’t decided on the headlights and I want to do it all at once.
