Any Italian Americans here? Man I just had Spaghetti with meat balls, I am high right now. Wish I could eat it everyday but I am kinda fat already :)

I'm not Italian, but I do make kick-ass garlic bread. :D

I tried my best to copycat the garlic bread from Mama Mia, a local chain.

Where did you get that bread to make your own? I love Mama Mias garlic bread. I buy the lasagna just to get the bread that comes with it lol

It's French bread with the top and bottom cut off.

It's pretty easy to make. I use a garlic press to mince 1-2 cloves of garlic per stick of butter. Mix the garlic into the butter and spread everywhere except the crust. Then I melt the leftover garlic butter and mix it with olive oil and brush the crust. 375° oven and you have to flip it to get both sides crisp.

I'm pretty confident that it's comparable to the real thing. :)

It's awesome that you know about Mama Mia's, too.

ah ok. The bread in your pic looks like that huge thick bread they have. Usually only see thinner french breads at the store, but Ill have to look more carefully.

There is a place in Muskego called Leah’s that has garlic bread like Mama Mias. But their lasagna isnt as good. It’s still good though.

Mama Mias is a legend! They had a take out place by the airport when I lived by there. Convenient garlic bread is what life is all about lol.

It's Italian bread that's thin. French bread is the right size. :)

I think we got food from there once when I was at my Brother's house in Hales Corners, but I didn't try the Lasagna.

Yes! We used to get takeout from there when we lived in Saint Francis. Garlic bread and enormous meatball sandwiches!

    I love American Italian food.

Specifically things like spaghetti made with a meat sauce from spicy Italian sausage or a good Detroit style pizza.

My best bud is Italian and he's the truth when it comes to preparing Italian cuisine. All he asks in trade from this Fil-Am brother is just a tray of these...just a tray.

Much respect to the Italian brothers on this forum!

This stuff looks great. But you need to describe what all these dishes are. I think I've figured out lamb shank, but not clear on the rest. And what pretty cats.

Thanks, but it has a lot of calories. You don't want to be eating that kind of food all day everyday. Plus they don't use vegetable oil, they cut the fat from the butt of the lamb, and then melt it and make food with. Our lamb have big butts lol.

Super easy to make it. No spices, no nothing. Unlike Indian food, Afghan food is has no spices whatsoever. The only problem is that it has a ton of calories. Like I said before, it is made with animal fat. You can clearly see small pieces of lamb butt on the rice. That's tasty like crazy, but dangerous as hell. You gotta be some farmer doing hard labour, or break wood for a living to burn that kind of food. It must have been developed ages ago on the mountains wherr it was cold and people did hard labour. Too unhealthy for modern times
But you can make it healthy by using lean goat meat and vegetable oil.

Pieces of lamb butt, horrible saturated animal fat. In other words, POISON.
