Do you have a contact there? I had previously sent a note to them from an email I saw on this thread and never received any feedback.

Larry H. Miller in Spokane WA has no market adjustments. Put a deposit on a future allocation TRD ORP on Dec 7th got a call on dec 18th that our 4runner was on the boat headed to the states. Was emailed the window sticker no surprises and offered what i found to be a very high offer on our Mazda cx5 we are trading in.

Congrats! There are a lot of Larry H Miller dealerships in the western US and most/all of those that I've talked to charge over MSRP. Do you know if your dealership offers the same pricing for out of state buyers? My daughter attends college in Washington, would be a great excuse to see her and pick up a new ride at the same time!

I don't know about out of state but from what i could tell on the web site it did not look that way. When I was looking it looked like some of them were charging a modest up charge except a couple of the dealerships in Colorado they were asking mid 60s for a Pro and mid 50s for an ORP. If you contact the LHM in Spokane ask for Matt McCollum he was fantastic. His family owned the Ford dealership in Spokane and he really was knowledgeable and straight forward.

Unfortunately they've increased their price from $10k to now $15k.

Just got this email from one of their rep.

"The selling price is MSRP at $54,512+$857 for window tint and door edge guards and a +$15,000 market value adjustment for a grand total net sales price of $70,369 plus taxes and titling fees."

    AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
    Camelback Toyota (Phoenix, AZ)
    AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

A couple months ago I left my contact info for a TRD Pro.
They called me yesterday afternoon saying that they have juste received 3 Pros and wondered if I was still interested. I told them that I was and that I wanted to make sure we could agree on the price before I drive to the dealership as I'm 40 minutes away. Over the phone they said that the price I told them I was willing to pay is good with them (roughly $2k above msrp) but that I would have to come in before they closed for the day.

Once I got there, they tried to sell it to me for $84k!!!!!!!! which is almost $25k over what we agreed on over the phone. When I asked them what was going on and why it was so different that what we agreed on, they told me not to worry that this price reflects someone with terrible credit and that if I have excellent credit (which I have) it would be the price we agreed on over the phone. They wrote down on a piece of paper the numbers we agreed on (monthly payments + downpayment) and told me to sign it to show that I was serious about buying it at that price and they would run my credit.

After running my credit which proved to be excellent, they didn't change the price. They tried to make me think they did it by showing the new price as $74k (which was still way higher btw) but they just added an extra 12 months of financing so when entering the monthly payments, it would still add up to about $84k.
Their tactics seriously started to frustrate me and when they found out that I wasnt the "right customer" for them, they apologize for the misunderstanding despite agreeing twice with the numbers I gave them (once over the phone, once at the dealership) and pulling my credit when they had no intention to ever sell it to me for what they said they would so now I have a hard inquiry for no reason.

PS: of course they also put $3k worth of add ons on the 4runner (pretty much everything they could) but I was willing to swallow that...

seems like every dealership in AZ is going insane.
The only one I've had good conversations over the phone so far is the Toyota of Avondale, and they were willing to get me a Pro for MSRP but it wasn't the color I wanted unfortunately (lime green)

Never negotiate monthly payments. Negotiate the actual price.

yes that's what I did at first but they started to talk about monthly payments since I would be financing it. So I made sure that they added the 72 months so they wouldn't change the length, but they still changed it to 84 months and acted like they didn't know. It seems like they were trying everything to get me to buy it at an outrageous price

For those interested in MSRP Pro in Lime Rush, it looks like Stapp Interstate Toyota in CO has 3 or 4 in transit.

I essentially told my local dealership in Colorado Springs (went from $7500 - 15,000 market adjustments) off once I found a Lime Rush allocation at MSRP from Peppers Toyota in Tennessee. Wife and I flew down there last week and drove it back (1100 miles). So we got a road trip out of it, had a chance to try it out in the rain, on the highway, in traffic, tried out the navigator (Kansas City) and saved thousands of dollars instead of buying local. Local dealer had nerve to say "You'll still be servicing through us" when I told him that I wasn't interested in his deal (and not even the color I wanted). Won't be going there if there is any way possible to avoid.

California probably started it! LoL. Don't we take the lead on everything anyways??

YEP!! He's right! Never negotiate monthly payments this is how they get you. I always get asked from dealers, "what can you afford monthly"? I tell them, don't worry about what I can afford monthly. What is my OTD price! I'll worry about the monthly payments with my bank. The other thing I hate more than this is the 4 squares! lol

Yah that sucks.. having a credit pull and them trying to deceive you!! I'd be upset as heck too. Why not get finance through you local bank if you're with a credit union? Toyota couldn't beat my local credit union %, though they tried.

What color do they have? I'm looking for white.

I'm in CA. so only thing I can do is online.

The only 2 msrp dealerships I know of for sure (at least in the east valley AZ) are Mesa Riverview Toyota and big two Toyota in chandler. Big two had a 100+ person long list for Pro and Riverview made my ORP into a pro for me lol- only thing missing is the stereo and dual climate control I believe. Now I’ll soon have an army green with most of the fixings I was after! So stoked. Good luck with your search!

I just picked up my 22 ORP few weeks ago. I'm happy with it. BUT... I'll be even more happy with a PRO. I don't have any plans to mod it therefore I think the pro would be better suited for me. The ORP is a mall crawler, the pro would be an even cooler mall crawler :D.

The arrogance is rampant with so many of these dealers, and frustrating. They'd sell twice as many vehicles if they were less opportunistic and more invested in the long-term customer relationships.

When I talked to them over the phone they said they have a $10k mark up on the Pro :/

I thought about it, but I figured if I did the financing directly through the dealership they were more likely to meet me half way (apparently not) even if the APR is slightly more.

I wouldn't even know how to go about using a local bank since it's near impossible to predict when a PRO would be available and at what price? I might look into it.

They only have (had?) one in lime green

I would recommend just calling the bank or credit union offering the best rate to discuss the process of getting the rate locked in; usually they can do 60-90 days. If you have good credit you can just wait until the vehicle is about to arrive at the dealership, then get back in touch with the bank to do a credit check and get everything lined up.

You won't find a Pro on the lot, ready to buy. You'll find someone with an allocation. If you know you will be approved for financing, go ahead and put the deposit down and you'll get a delivery date estimate which will make it easier to get that financing

Adding to what TRDLE suggests, some dealers treat the deposits as refundable - if your dealer is one of those, there's not much risk to putting down the deposit and working on the financing once you have a more concrete delivery date.

You'll definitely want to understand what the dealer's rules are for 'refundable' - some transition to non-refundable once a vehicle is tagged for you in their allocation, etc.

Yes, I actually have put a deposit at the Toyota of Avondale (the only one that seemed genuine) back in October. Talked with the sales manager there, and he said he doesn't know when he'll get TRD Pros other than the Lime green they have/had, and it could be 6 months from now (he's waiting for one as well for himself). So I guess it's just a waiting game now, but there's no certainty to when that would be.

I just happened to check Avondale’s website and they just added a White Pro. It’s probably spoken for but worth calling to follow up.

back then it wasn’t listed on their website but it is now. Shows a 15k market adjustment. Hilarious that they told me they would sell it for $2k over MSRP just to make me go to the dealership.
