Anybody out there that has run this combo, or the Method 306s ???

    Method MR306 17x8-5 - a.jpg

I know the offset of the rims is zero as opposed to the stock 15, and the rim is 8.5 wide vs 7.5, and the backspace is 4.5 vs 4.75. If I figured right, all that should put the center of the rim close to in the same place as stock.

But this is my first venture into different wheels and tires, and I don't want to botch it...

Yup. With no lift, the front rubbed slightly on the mud flaps at full turn. Removed mud flaps and all good.
The 275 70 17 KO2’s looked great but in my case, they introduced the dreaded steering wheel shimmy. After realignment, four spin balances, including road force balancing and then replacing one of the tires, I replaced them with 275-70-17 Falken Wildpeak at3’s with much better results.

Many folks here have had good experience with heir KO2’s. I am not one of them.

The picture here is with the Methods and KO2’s, before I swapped to Falkens and lifted the 4R. 9196FEF6-912C-4711-B9AC-A1C318296766.jpg

Do you have any pictures with the Falken Wildpeaks? I am considering both tires in 275.
Also did you notice any difference in mpg? I noticed the wildpeaks are heavier than the KO2.

    No Falken pics. Sorry.
I don’t really monitor mpg so no help there either. Sorry.
With the 4R I do try to monitor fun per gallon. That got better after the wheels and tires once the steering shimmy got gone.

I'm having 275 Falkens installed on bronze sema wheels Thursday.

22 ORP. Will report how they do once installed.

The specs you are talking about on the wheels are the identical specs we have on our wheels, XD's but same spec. and the same size tire also... once again we have Coopers instead. Runs fine, no issues!

Thanks for the info so far!
Back in the day, I had BFG All Terrain T/As on the 86 Runner, and loved them. Of course things can change.

Hey @Kilo Papa - you have great taste! I've got KO2's in 285-70-17 on Method 305s and had the wheels and tires for a day before getting my 3" lift. Rubbed like CRAZY on the front fender liner when backing up at full steering lock. I have had mud flaps removed on the front since I had the sliders, and I had a BMC done a while back. Now lifted, I still have to push the fender liners back a little more, but otherwise clear the tires fine with no rubbing!

Thank you @EvilBeagle. Is that a Dobinsons lift you have there? Looks like a little teal showing up front on yours…
    Great looking rig.

@Kilo Papa - Thanks! Nope, it’s actually an Ironman Stage 2 lift - that Ironman lime green kind of looks teal in that pic! LOL.
