I just joined.

I’m buying a 3rd gen in NC to send out to my daughter in Durango.

She is a field guide/therapist for a wilderness brat camp and her Honda Element just isn’t cutting it for the places she has to get into year round.

I found a nice clean 2000 limited with 175k miles and a good clean maintenance record.

I will be doing tires, timing belt, all the fluids, and plugs and wires before either shipping it out or driving it out and flying back.

Welcome. Nice find! With 175k on a 3rd gen, if you do not know if they have ever been changed or not, take a good look at the tie rods and ball joints before you ship it west. ✌️

 

Better now.

So far I’ve get new keys done, replaced crap wipers with OE ones. Replaced 3rd brake light bulb. Have new headlight and fog light bulbs coming today. Needs new front brake pads idiot put new rotors on with old pads.

I’ll swap passenger and drivers door lock cylinders today, drivers side is worn out and I need to program new fobs.

Leaving timing belt and and valve cover gaskets to the pros.

Still have to upgrade dash and center console bulbs, some are out for the CC and radio. May swap the oe radio for a 3rd party one with Bluetooth.

New skins probably Toyo AT3s then it’s off for the long drive from NC to durango to hand it off to my dotter.
