Sorry but $74k for a 4Runner is not a smoking deal… not to me anyway. That’s more than I would have paid for the brand new lime rush with the $15k markup (that I walked away from)

 

Toyota Walnut Creek is at MSRP? My dad was looking for a 2021 Tacoma TRD Pro in Lunar Rock (Yea not a 4runner but still) about 6 months ago and they wouldn't sell it to him for less than $5k over MSRP....

 

Please ignore my sad attempt at sarcasm. A 15k-20k markup from MSRP is not a “smoking deal”.

A big shout out to Abe Reyes at Crown Toyota, Ontario, CA, I'm the proud owner of a Lime Rush 4Runner at MSRP, yep, it's in the driveway thanks to Abe. I met him in this forum and he was straight up about everything. If you've searched for one of these vehicles in California, you know how difficult it is to find at MSRP. The whole experience, start to finish was a solid 5 stars. Abe, thank you again for helping me get her into my driveway. Folks, give Abe a shout, he's solid and Crown Toyota is MSRP.

 

This is probably the only TRD Pro that I've seen the front valance was not drilled for the license plate mount! I asked my sales rep to not put holes in my ORP but he said if it comes to them like that from the port, nothing they can do. Not sure how true it is....

 

Picked mine up yesterday, no holes drilled. They actually asked me if I wanted it or not.

 

I asked my sales rep not to do it during PDI and they were fine with it. So the PDI from what I understand is done at the dealer.

 

I paid MRSP for mine as well EXCEPT for the security system...did you have to get it as well?

What's his username on here? How long did yours take? Deposit? Did you custom order one or did the dealer already the vehicle allocated to them prior to you wanting it?

 

Up this way, dealership does it. Had my 17 taco unmolested when I got it.

 

How's the state law regarding no front plates? Here in Ca, it's required, although, lots of vehicles are without it.

 

Rusty Wallace Toyota in Morristown, TN just provided me an ORP for MSRP. Though they seem to be a smaller volume dealer they were great to work with. I just picked mine up 2 days ago and they had another Limited on the lot and a Trail Edition due to arrive in the near future.

 

SoCal native here...my dad has a 1994 Suburban that he still refuses to put the front license plate on, has not received a ticket it to date. Before the 4runner I had a Camaro for 11 years, never put on the front license plate either. Guess it just depends?

 

Right on brotha! Which part of SoCal? I’m in Anaheim. All my cars currently have no plates too (knock on wood).

Germain Toyota in Columbus, Ohio can be added to this list. I did not ask about the Pro but I bought the ORP two days ago for MSRP and no surprises. Sales guy was Austin Castin who was very straightforward, responsive, and pleasant to work with. When told they would sell it for MSRP, I reserved it while it was in transit, but wanted to wait until the deal was done before posting. BTW, thank you folks for this forum. I’m 65 and is my first Toyota. I was able to get every question answered by searching the threads.

they don't need to charge over MSRP on new rides, they are making bank on used ones. Even though overpriced, I still thought about the FJ for a minute.

 

Yeah I concur they are a bit high but they are a Chevy dealership. This Toyota has been on the lot for over a month and the FJ has been on the lot for a couple weeks. It is by the lowes in my city and I see it every time. So today I couldn’t help but stop by and see what prices they had for it to be sitting this long.
