The 2022 how much and how long was your wait thread

It's been a minute since my last and only post. LOL. Purchased from Thayer Toyota (Bowling Green, OH). No Mark up, Straight MSRP. Had it shipped, arrived last week. Waited six months.

 

I currently have a deposit down for an access cab TRD Off-Road Tacoma. I'm planning on changing my deposit to an SR5 4WD 4Runner. I haven't spoken to my dealer yet about the switch but hopefully it won't take more than the 100 days they quoted on the Tacoma.

 

I just put my deposit down on a 22 4Runner pro and my dealer quoted 90-120 days! It’ll be worth the wait and will be here before you know it! You may get lucky though. He said the pros too longer. Originally I was waiting on a 22 trd OR which was 60-90 days! Hopefully it won’t be as long!

Wow that’s a sad sight! In the comments on the video on IG, they’re saying this happened months ago so hopefully that’s the case!

Could not see video but there was mudslide and train derail this past summer as well. I don’t recall which state but there were 4Rs on that train as well. I think it was late June or July

 

I am thinking that the demand is starting to slow. In the past few weeks I have had 3 dealerships all reaching out to try to sell me something they have in transit.

 

Interesting thought. My dealer called me yesterday trying to sell me a TDR ORP same color as my order but with options I don’t want plus a bogus “fee.” I’ll wait, thanks. Could leverage return soon?

 

Oh I had another dealer try to sell me a PRO (which is what I'm waiting for) for 64K (10K mark up from MSRP). I was like....um no thank you, I'll wait. The markups are awful....I get that they need to make money but goodness

 

Finally got notification earlier this week that my LR ORP was shipped after a 3 month wait. I was given an ETA of January 8th to a dealer in Wisconsin, so either the ports are getting quicker or I should expect delays. The port will only be adding all-weather floor mats, so hopefully it doesn’t sit there long.

Ya, none have met my 3 must haves, ORP, in AG with KDSS.

 

I put a deposit down at the beginning of August for a ORP 2022 with KDSS. Have been asked a couple times to consider others without kdss. This week had all other option I wanted except kdss. Seems kdss is the hold up.

 

Depends on where you are located, from what I have been told there has been one in New England in the recent months, but I do believe a MGM ORP with KDSS is in route to Portland Maine. My sales person tried to switch the color, but couldn’t get it done.

 

I switched my allocation/order from the Tacoma to a Super White 4WD SR5 4Runner. The dealer said it should be 45-60 days. We'll see how close that estimate is!

 

According to the dealerships in MN, KDSS is not common around here but it only took them a couple of weeks to get one allocated upon request. I put a deposit down at the beginning of November and it is currently in freight status and scheduled to arrive at the dealership first week of January.

 

Luther Brookdale has a Grey one with KDSS coming in that's not sold to anyone yet. I was just there talking to them last night. I see there are a few white ones with KDSS from other dealers around town also but I'm not sure if they are taken or not. The salesman was telling me they are selling at MSRP so no mark up. I'm searching for a Luna Rock with KDSS, so good luck to me.

 

Don’t know where you’re at but Toyota of Vallejo (CA) has a Lunar Rock TRD Off Road Premium with KDSS in-transit that hasn’t been spoken for as of yesterday. They’re an MSRP dealership.

 

I'm in MN but will have to check that out.

 

Finally took delivery. Originally had a blacked out version, but this one got to the dealership sooner and had the same options minus the blackout emblems. Looks like more 4Runners are shipping as my local dealership got 4 in the last week. Hopefully everyone gets theirs soon!

I see a lot of people mentioning when they order or place a deposit. That really means nothing. I placed an order and deposit for a Pro in July, still haven't heard from them. I found one elsewhere and put down a deposit on Monday of this week. He said it just finished production and should be here early-mid February.

 

It really doesn't. It all depends on the dealer. For all we know, they can tell you one thing and do another. Which color pro did you place an order for in July and which dealer? Some dealers have a long list of people waiting. My best guess, if you're the 5th+ person on that list you may not see yours till late late 2022 possibly 2023. By that time, Toyota most likely would be releasing the new 2023 so they may not even get their 2022 lime rush Kia, (I mean) Pro .

 

It was Lime Rush and I was first in line, but it's a smaller dealer. But like I said, I found a different dealer and I'll have it in February.

 

It's a hit and miss with smaller dealers. Not sure how it works, but being if they're smaller, Toyota Corp won't allocate to them the qty they would allocate to say a larger dealer who pushes more volume. Then again with a smaller dealer they have less traffic so it could be a good thing if you're there at the right place at the right time. I'm looking for a white pro and cant find any. All are the Lime color that I do not want.

 

How long are people waiting to get the 4runner from port to dealer? My 4runner has been in Portland since December 28.

 

I ordered a 4runner on Dec. 27 and supposed to receive it on Jan. 11/13 not bad. It was made in Nov. And in transit from what this paper says that my dealer just sent me. Does "processing" mean the port?

 

Yes processing was at the port, but it’s F status now, which is freight.

 

It sure what they want, or if it still there, but this has been on their website for a month or so.
