20210125_220630.jpg 20211214_105333.jpg 20211214_104636.jpg Hi all, have a question for you, I have a 1999 T4R SR5 with 168k miles on it, it's all original except for the wheels and tires, 2" lift and I changed the water pump and timing belt around 120k just for shits and giggles. Its never been in a accident and has all the original VIN stickers. I'm the first owner, its always been in the garage up until I bought my 2020 4runner venture. It's never failed to get me there and back. Now It just sits on the side of the house. Should I sell or keep? And honestly I really don't need to sell it, I just don't really see myself using it with a Tundra and new 4runner.

If it's becoming a lawn ornament...SELL it. Now is the time. Cars that sit, just go bad over time. They need to be driven and get maintenance.

You can drive it to Maine and park it on my lawn, just leave the keys so I can move it as needed.

I would try to sell it for $30,000 and see if some idiot buys it. If nobody offers you anything, keep it.

I think I will, but not for $30k, that's what I paid for it 21 years ago. I probably got rear ended by the dealership but I was young and innocent.

FJ Cruisers are going for 40-60k. And people are buying them.

Put it on BAT. You might be very surprised at what it would sell for?

Looks good in the two pics, but what about below? Not sure where you are, so it could have rust. Any buyer will look for that - my 2001 rusted apart at 265k due to Ohio road salt. Plus, is there a gap in the center instrument bezel where it fits to the dash?

I’d say sell it so that another young and innocent kid can enjoy it and learn to 4x in it! Pass along the smiles :D

Judging by the CA plate I wouldn’t expect there to really be any rust especially if it was garaged all those years

You had me wondering about rust, just went out to look, a bit dirty but no rust. Live in the California valley. The gap is from me replacing one of the cigarette lighter plug with a USB with voltage readout and just didn't push the bezel all the way in. 20211215_140139.jpg

    I just looked at those 4runners, big price differences. There's one, same 4runner posted twice with a $10k difference. SmartSelect_20211215-083012_Samsung Internet.jpg SmartSelect_20211215-082954_Samsung Internet.jpg SmartSelect_20211215-082954_Samsung Internet.jpg

Dude, sell it for $30,000. Don’t give someone a gift. People are spending stupid money on used cars, and you should take advantage of it. You may never get this chance again.

My dad sold his old 2008 piece of shit 350Z for like $20,000.

It doesn’t have that orange/brown tint that I thought was a requirement, you better get that shipped up here to Maine ASAP, won’t take long to get to the right color.

Agreed. And the buyer will be thrilled to get such a clean Gen3 in his favorite color.
