"Unique" 4Runner for Sale

Found this 4Runner for sale, figured everyone would enjoy seeing this very "unique" 5th gen

Why doesn’t the back seat match?

 

This guy has to be into this thing for over $60k with mods right?

I bet he's sweating his ass off right now with a high bid of $17,850 and 3 days left

 

The seller mentions in the comments that the reserve is in line with other used 2018 4Runners with such low milage. So looks like he needs to double that 17k to meet reserve... yeah right haha

 

I got through about 25 of the 289 pictures. Nope

I thought pimp my ride was no longer going. Now I am second guessing what the new show is and can see why the owner wants to get rid of it. Poor 4Runner was made worse than stock. Starting to also think this was for some movie or show. Half the job was done. No back seats. The roof looked as though it was forgotten and only got overspray. This 4Runner has to be from a tv show or something unique. Not just because someone at home one day got board.

 

Holy crap. I didn't even look at any of the pictures until the"maple" dash was mentioned.
Why in the world would anyone do this?
The new door handles alone should be illegal.
Did they run out of interest when it came to the back seats?
So it's just some gross body kit?

 

The description says this and ten others were made for a trade show in China, and this one ultimately did not ship.

But still, I gotta say this is dumb….even for a trade show, in China

 

It could be tolerable if the body color was white or black, but the honey brown is just awful.

Oh I missed the description. Looked through all pictures (really fast) but failed to read the description.

also thank goodness this isn’t the 4Runner Gen 6 or at least these designers are not in charge of the 4Runner design.

 

This is not far from me… showed this to my hubs and he said he has seen it sitting at a dealership recently and that there’s also a similarly modded black truck that looks much better than this thing but still weird.

 

I feel cheated!! I paid $42K for my 2019 SR5 Premium with <17K miles!

You guys have no taste!! That thing is cool as hell. I really dig the color. I looked through all 289 pics. Not a 1 with the tailgate up.
