2022 4RUNNER TRD OR PREMIUM w/KDSS

Got this today...

Traded in my 2018 4runner. I'm retired Army so this is my favorite color. Hope you guys like it!

Army green looks so good! Take care of that paint especially in the sun because green is known to fade over time.
Great color! Black valances will make it look even better in my opinion.

 

I agree entirely. The dealer is adding all the pro black out stuff, including the grille I believe, though not 100% sure. Even Though I live in sunny Arizona, I park in the garage so I think it’ll be great long term! I can’t wait to see her in person.

I'm loving this ride! I just had the predator steps installed. My 2018 TRD OR did not have KDSS, and this does appear to ride so much better! I am Retired Army so I'm digging this color big time! Thanks.

 

I paid $48,200. KDSS and some blackouts, some other whistles and bells. But my 2018 4runner trade in, I was given $1000 more than what I paid 4 years prior. Crazy!

I’m wondering what you notice different between non kdss vs kdss since you’ve had both. Is it worth the 1700? I’m asking because I’m looking for lunar rock with kdss and I guess that’s the hardest combination to get. So I might have to look for a different color with kdss or get lunar rock without kdss.

 

sounds about right. Got 34k for our 2016 Tacoma, 44k for the premium but no KDSS.

 

The overall ride quality the way it handles the corners, bumps, etc., it just seems like everything is so much smoother. Not that I was thrashed around in the non KDSS. This feels more solid. I wasn't looking to get KDSS because I was perfectly happy without it. This one just so happened to have it.

 

Oh man, nice! I traded a 2017 Tacoma SR5 double cab, long bed, low miles and got 33k. Now I feel I got robbed, lol. I think we paid that 4 years prior so I can't complain. We traded that in for a 2022 Tacoma TRD Sport, dbl cab, lb. Magnet Grey! Stunning!

Good point. I'm considering getting Ceramic Pro or Owners Pride ceramic protection added but it's around $1000 for five years protection. Never had this done before but I might go for it.

 

So if you had to do it again, would you specifically order kdss and wait for it or would you be willing to get a non kdss and just get into a 4Runner quicker?

 

Congratulations on the new 4R. I have an off-road with KDSS and love it.

 

Isn't the KDSS just the electronic disconnect of the sway bars for added articulation while in 4 low?

 

I'm on the fence with the answer... I'm not sure what I'd do honestly. People swear after they test drive both they can never go back to non KDSS.

However, if you can order the Lunar Rock with KDSS, it's worth waiting for. That's what I'd do.
