I have really been looking at the southern style and C4 fabrications front bumpers for my 2021 TRD Pro (MGM in color of course!)

I want to add the Baja Designs S8 30” Amber light bar as well for form and function. Which of the two options is better? What are your thoughts?

Both Victory 4x4 and Green Lane Off Road make small front winch bumpers in aluminum for around $1,000. The advantage is they are half the weight of steel and don't rust, but they are $300-400 more than a steel bumper.

I think I may have answered my own question just by the fact that I keep going back and looking at the C4 Fab lo pro bumper!upload_2021-10-4_1-54-4.jpg

Now I need to decide which lightbar to add to it. I love the look of the Baja S8, but it’s so expensive!!

I grabbed a Victory for my 2011, but that was only after I triple confirmed C4 didn’t make one for my year.

If you haven't made your decision yet here is a shot of my green lane front bumper that we just had installed. Waiting on the winch to come in:

The only thing I don't like about a lot of these offerings is that the winch (or at least the fairlead) is rotated down. It just doesn't look right to me. Fairlead should be perpendicular to the ground IMO. Probably works fine but somehow annoys my OCD.

If you go with C4 make sure it won’t interfere with your TSS.

I really want the C4 lo pro bumper without hull bar. I think it is the cleanest looking of all the lo
    Pro bumpers…. I also think SSO is a very close #2…. P

Yeah you should be fine without the bull bar. It is the bull bar that gets in the way of the TSS. Can’t wait to see pics. My C4 rear bumper, gas skid, and diff skid should be here by February. Looking forward to that.

I ordered the Trail standard off-road bumper, I wanted to go with the C4, but the Trail Standard came in at a lower price and lead time.

I went with the C4 fab lo pro with tall bull bar on my 2020 TRD ORP. I was seriously considering the aluminum Victory because it was so much lighter and was available with powder coating, but I didn't like that that the light bar opening was smaller and covered so much by the Victory logo. The bull bar on the Victory was not compatible with my tss cruise control radar sensor either. The C4 weighed about 80 lbs just for the bumper, my winch (Smittybilt H20 12k lbs) added about 55 lbs and my light bar (Baja Designs S8 30in. clear) adds another 6 lbs. The C4 is a solid quality piece of steel with very good welds. It doesn't come finished, so I got it powder coated locally. It fits well; the bull bar doesn't interfere with the cruise control, and I think the bumper looks great.

I just installed a LFD front bumper with a warn winch. I think it looks great, cutting the bumper was pretty easy with a dremel and a little cut off wheel. I had installed by myself in less than 2 hours, took it off to mount the winch 2 weeks later with a buddy for about another 2 hours. I told them I was going down to the Baja 1000 with it and they had it to my house within a week. The first* picture is after baja...it still hasn't been washed, it's too dark by the time I get home from work.

I ordered the SSO, gets good reviews and I want a bar that doesn’t interfere with the TSS.
Now I just have to wait patiently until it comes!
    Actually I'm just waiting!

I love that bumper! I might have bought that one if SOS wasn't having a sale when I ordered.

Any really good light bar will be expensive. I have a 20" single row Rigid that retailed for like $700 and I have 0 regrets! Every time I turn it on, I'm glad I paid for quality.

If you're looking to save a few bucks on lighting, just buy it the next time @memario1214 is having a sale! :D

Agreed that we all see things differently, but my particular perception is I see way too much amber lighting on this rig - but bumper looks awesome!

Lol, agreed! I definitely get amber/yellow fogs but that thing doesn't seem to have any white lighting.

Could you post a side picture? I decided on this bumper couple months ago after extensive looking. LFD is up the road from me so one of my thoughts was to go get it when completed. I think it's a great choice for a winch bumper. Thanks

I also agree with that, so my plan is to keep the white fogs, but I will add the yellow S8 lightbar. The fogs will be used daily, but the lightbar only in inclement weather.

Thanks much! I'm interested in how far it sticks out. How wide the top edge is looking at vehicle from the side.

Thanks much! I had thought it stuck out a bit more, I may need to rethink and go with a full bumper.
