This is a non KDSS truck. I’d like to level it without hurting the ride or performance. The Toyota dealership that I purchased it from was pretty clueless about it. What would you guys recommend? Thx Scott

There is so many options everyone is going to have an opinion.

You need to tell us what you want to spend to start and check the suspension section.

I’d be fine spending $1200 or less if possible. I’ll definitely ck out the suspension section too. I’ve noticed that a lot of suspension companies do not have 2022 listed yet. Will 2021 parts fit? Also trying to understand what level is. Meaning 2” in Front 1” in back or 3 and 1? I certainly do not want it squatted. Thx a lot!

If you just want an effective level, and aren’t looking to upgrade to bigger tires, or wanting to do any crazy off-roading, id start with a 1” cornfed spacer. I think you can get away with about $60 cost if you’re willing to do the work yourself.

    Welcome from Texas!

This is something you can even get from your Toyota dealer. I've had it on my SR5 and it does not ruin the ride comfort. My SR5 is sold but I still have 2 buddy's here in CO having this on SR5 & TRD ORP (without KDSS). All 3 of us installed this at same shop near Toyota Dealer.

So is it just certain Toyota dealers that carry this? Do they install it too?

I'm not sure how many dealerships carry these. Here in Denver / Centennial CO it is $1000 parts and labor as of early 2021.

I went this route too through my dealership. They also installed the Pro rims with Nitto RG 285’s.

Truck rides and drives great, no alignment or tire balance issues after 20k miles.

Kit includes front diff drop which is a point of debate on the forums. It Lowers CV angles. I have a friend with the same 4Runner without the diff drop and the CV angles look pretty severe IMHO.

Just one word of warning, if you go this route, you better have thick skin on the Toyota forums. Spacer lifts are frowned upon on the 4Runner forums. ;)

@Slopemaster all 3 of us (myself, my buddies with SR5 & TRD ORP) install this kit at a shop just few blocks away from dealer. It cost $730ish in total.

My SR5 buddy installed from dealer and even though they promised KO2 285/70R17 dealer installed 275/70R17. He got pissed and asked for money back. Dealer should have told before hand if they don't have 285s in stock. Then he went to the shop near dealership got the same kit for less money. I think he has about 45-50K miles with lift and not a single issue.

Not a huge deal for anyone local to Denver to show have a look outside. Due to safety concerns we wont be able let anyone ride in any of our 4Runners. Its funny among our friend we have every single trim (except for special ones like venture / new trail edition). They just give me keys and I drive them to do my videos. This is my buddy's SR5 with Readylift which I upgrade bulbs as if its mine.. LoL..:D:D
