My stock 4Runner tires are P245/60R20 107h. I’m looking for suggestions/advice on all terrains keeping everything stock. I don’t find anything in exactly that size other than standard street tires. TIA

I like the Nitto Terra Grapplers that came on mine. I actually had them on my Tacoma and my F-150 before I got the Runner. They do what I need to do.

Might want to consider save money and get something like 265/70R17 with 17in wheels that is much safer for A/T use. I have tried 275/55/R20 but not happy with little sidewall.

+1 for the AT3. I have a set of these in 285/70/17 and I'm pretty happy with them.

I'd look on Facebook Marketplace for a set of 17 inch TRD take off wheels. That will really open up your tires choices.

My neighbor has those on his Tundra and that’s where I began the search. No joy as every time I put my tire size in the search for Nitto I get “this tire will not fit on your vehicle” message. Was hoping someone had switched out their 20’s street tires for 20’s A/T’s.

Thanks, that’s the kind of advice I was looking for. I will be primarily off roading in sand and mud here in Florida. Wasn’t sure it would be advisable to go with 17’s. FNG to owning a 4WD as a daily driver.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did a first look on there and didn’t find much on 20’s. I did see quite a few 17’s up for sale. Now that I know running 17’s will do what I need, I can broaden the options.

I think the Pro 4Runner comes with Trail Grappler tires. Lots of folks swap them for something else.

The Ridge Grappler Tire is popular. Kind of a blend of a mud terrain and an all terrain tire.
I was closed to getting them when I went to 285's. I wanted more of a mud tire though for the off roading I do, weekly.

TRD Pro come with Nitto Terra Grapplers, only 4 though. Spare tire is a regular all season. Here in CO it is too much risk running those with no 3PMSF rating and they were not that good on my short experience with them. I changed them to Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs.

Still looking on FB Marketplace $700-5/65R18 Nitto Terra Grapplers. About 30-40% tread left. 2017 Tacoma limited 18" wheels.
Would running 18” be too much for off roading occasionally?

18" would be fine for light off-roading. More sidewall is better, but we can't run anything smaller than 17" due to our brakes anyway. What is the offset of the 18" wheels?

They were off a 2017 Tacoma Limited. No offset given. I’ve messaged the seller asking what the off set is.

Tou can probably google it if the seller doesn't know. Most of the 4runner OEM rims have a small positive offset. But, too much positive offset could cause the tire to rub the upper control arm.

General Grabber AT. Hands down! Very aggressive look, SUPER quiet on the road and the 2 sets I had on my Landcruiser went 100k miles on a 60k mile warranty (full disclosure, I did 99.99999999999999% on the road and kept them at 40 psi with robotic rotations every 5k miles). Just put a set of 285s on my '18 TRD ORP XP.

Buy them, you will not be disappointed. I promise.

Hey Dan - that's a great picture and the trail looks like fun. Is that in the Ozarks?

This was super helpful. I've been trying to find reviews on these tires. They are so reasonably priced right now that I thought they had to be junk. Glad they are worth it.
