Hi, new to the 4Runner and the forum. Two kids off to college the last couple years and only two left so it was time to downsize from the Suburban. Bought a 22 Lime Rush yesterday. Build sheet had door edge guards listed on it, but when I went to pick it up they weren’t installed. If I’m going to wrap it do I need them? Think it might look cleaner without them, but was trying to find some pics on here to see how they look on the truck, but couldn’t find any. If someone has a Lime Rush with them installed do u mind sharing some pics. Thanks everyone.

Faulkner. Sloane was asking for a couple grand over MSRP when I called them. Faulkner sold it to me for MSRP

I did get it for MSRP. I will say what dealer once I have it in my driveway lol.

 

Did you get the rear sliding cargo deck?

 

Yes. Those are all the options mine came with from the factory. Minus the door edge guards. Dealer said they didn’t have them at the port to install and they would have to order them. I was up in the air about them anyway so I just said forget it and they cut me a check for $100.

 

The edge guards are horrible imo. And would make wrapping a pain. If you dislike the sliding rear cargo deck we could swap our parts out. Mine is not coming with it. I jumped on a allocation someone backed out of so I did not get to pick the option.

 

I haven’t driven it much since I got it, but so far I like the sliding rear cargo deck. I got lucky. Was hunting for the longest time for a lunar rock with no luck. Called a few dealerships around here at the end of October and Faulkner had this one coming in already optioned out as it was. They were asking MSRP for it so I put a deposit down that day. Not sure I need the camera and the console safe, but they are cool options and it’s basically fully loaded minus the paint protection and rear sliding cargo cover which I didn’t want anyway. Looking for a reputable place now in the area to get it fully wrapped with PPF.

 

I will sort out a way to add the sliding cargo deck eventually. I am a stained glass artist and it would make loading glass and finished artwork easier that is the only reason I want it.

Hi. Also a new guy, from Johnstown Pa. My Dealership offered me a "Mt Dew" 22. I had to reiterate MGM only!

I do not believe you should bother with paint guards. If you're gonna wrap it anyway. Gonna hold off on a wrap, but thinking Multicam Arid might be nice. I'm kind of a Multicam junkie.

 

Oh, I got the dash cam too. I bailed on the predator bars. I always see them bent up AF. They're not rock sliders. Hoping we love them as much as we think we will!
