If you have the time and desire. Take this deal right to the finish line, I might even let them stack what ever they can, 10 year extended at your crazy ridiculous price sure, all you other dealership add ons, please do.

then when it’s time to run your credit and sign, just get up and walk away, don’t say a world to them, just walk.

 

They actually run credit and get a signed agreement on price when they take the $1000 deposit to hold the car, to be sure you can qualify. I had all that nailed down back in august with the lunar rock pro they took away from me (with a $5k market adjustment). ::sad face::
If it all goes south, I will def be filing a complaint with Toyota corporate and telling everyone I know not to shop at that dealership. I will also be very sad hahah my fingers are still crossed as I still haven’t heard back.

 

Then take em to the finish, I figure they wasted your time and jerked you along, why not share the full experience with them.

 

Not sure why anyone would pay over MSRP for a TRD PRO. Autotrader has +50 listed for MSRP at dealerships all over. $49,993 - $53,335. If you are not picky you shouldn't even have to wait.

So in my search, everything listed on auto trader is pre sold. If you’re lucky and it isn’t, most of the time the price they advertise on that does not include their market adjustment. It’s a crappy game. I sold my daily driver after seeing how many pros were on cars.com, auto trader, etc and now I’m about a month and a half into sharing one vehicle with my wife lol. Buuut I did finally lock one down that should be here in a few weeks

 

I am picky hahaha annnnd I lease my vehicles so the dealership is the only way for me to do that. Just did a search for fun and the closest pro to me is in Downey…. I think that’s Texas? Lol 400 miles away from me.

 

UPDATE: Just got a message from the dealer, the 4Runner is in port and being processed.

 

Salesman called me on November 3rd and said they had a Lunar Rock Off Road coming. I paid the deposit the same day. I picked it up the weekend after thanksgiving. I had to take what they were allocated so there’s some options I could’ve done without, but the KDSS seems pretty nice. I paid $1400 over MSRP which included window tinting, all weather mats, wheel locks, hood and door paint protection, and cross bars. I got $1,000 over what I paid for my Tacoma brand new so I was ok with paying a little over MSRP, normally I wouldn’t.

 

I contacted almost every Toyota dealership in Oregon and Washington, plus one in Idaho trying to track down an ORP. Every single one was pre sold. The day I sold my '21 ORP to Driveway, an army green limited became available so I put a deposit down and picked it up seven hours later. Just got super lucky this time around ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Just had a call from the dealer who told me there was a white Limited and a standard OR in white available. Turned those down and will wait for an ORP. The Limited has a lot of nice stuff but I just can't stand the look of it. Don't know why they couldn't just keep the SR5 and OR styling.

 

2022 4Runner TRD ORP in Mag Gray

Placed a deposit on the truck sometime near the end of October. It landed at the port on November 19 and is currently sitting waiting for floor mats to be "installed".
Original delivery date was 11/30-12/6, changed to 11/26-11/29, now currently 11/30-12/2.
I think it will get here when it gets here lol

Does anyone know if the '22 ORP gets alerts through the Toyota app? Haven't been able to get a straight answer about that yet.

I think it’s only the limited and the pros for the notifications.

 

The limited was definitely not my preferred trim level, but the army green makes it a little more tolerable for me personally. The timing just happened to work out perfectly so I took what I could get. I'm growing accustomed to the extra creature comforts a little too fast though...

 

I know what you mean by taking what you can get. Unless you're really lucky in this environment, it could end up a very long wait if you're picky.

 

It hurt driving by the two army green ORP's on-site with sold stickers on them haha.

 

They should all have notifications, however, you won't start getting them until the vehicle gets to the railhead.

To get Last Parked Location though requires the activation of Remote Connect (after starting the trial) which I'm not sure if Toyota will let you do early. I was able to call Lexus and get the 6-digit code for my GX to activate Remote Connect when it hit the destination railyard. Until then I was still able to see the fuel level, odometer, and tire pressures.

When the tire pressures drop from high 40's PSI to mid 30's PSI then it is through the PDI.

It was rather fun calling the dealership a couple hours after the tire pressures dropped to ask about if it's still on track and then have them try to tell me it had just arrived and needed the PDI to be completed yet.

 

UPDATE: Just got the call the 4Runner was delivered to the dealer late this morning and is ready to be picked up!

Picked up my MGM TRD ORP last night. Paid MSRP+Delivery = $44,893.00. No moonroof/KDSS. Just all weather floor/cargo mats and door edge guards. Traded my 2015 Tacoma.

 

Finally had some time to post this. Took a pick right before going into the finance managers office.

$500 deposit placed in or around mid Oct for a 22 ORP. Paid MSRP and $1k to a transport company to bring it from Iowa to Ca. Vehicle delivered to my doorstep Nov. 16th w 3 miles on the odmoeter. So roughly 4-5 weeks. Sale manager was easy to work with and kept me updated weekly through text. Also best of all, every new vehicle purchased from this dealership comes with a 20yr/200k limited power train warranty at no charge. Lets hope everything works out when the time comes that I'll find myself needing the warranty service.

 

do you need to go to the dealership you purchased from for the warranty?

 

No, from what I read on the fine prints. Any dealership (including a 3rd party) can perform the work. To claim warranty work, you'll just need to keep receipt to show your maintenance is up to date.

 

UPDATE: Just got word it arrived in the port on time and is in processing. Estimated arrival at the dealership is 13-18 Dec. My Birthday is the 16th... hmmm could work out! <crossing fingers>
