DGALLERY=media, 954]Trail TRD Rims by JorgeIT posted Oct 20, 2016 at 10:02 PM[/GALLERY]Hi to Everyone:

I'm from Puerto Rico and purchased a Trail in April 2016

Haven't done much but the Side Rails, TRB Shift Knob, TRD Rims and BF K02 275/70/17 and Rubber Mats.

I will paint the Decals in Black next week and the calipers TRD Red, while we fix a dent in the driver's door.

Very interested in Roof rack basket, TRD Skid Plate and Hidden Hitch.

    Any suggestions will be welcomed.

    Best Regards,

    Jorge

Welcome! Looks like an excellent start to a build. How well do those 275's fit? Any rubbing?

Already got a dent? Sounds like PR, gotta park in the waaaay back to keep the door dingers away.

    Hi:
The Dent was in Walmart's Parking unfortunately. :anonymous:

The Tires have no rub at all. I found a Chart in another forum that said 275 were the biggest size you could install without modifications.

The K02 handle very well. No noise, No more bumpy than the originals; actually less, strange enough. I'm still monitoring if there would be an MPG difference although I have never gone above 14MPGs with the island's traffic.

This weekend I will head to the interior to test some trails with them.:llama:

Not yet, I think the faring helps get the majority of the wind over the top, however when we add the light bar it will probably affect it more. I sure wish these things had larger gas tanks then it wouldn't matter. The ladder on the back gate is really cool.

    Up

Update: Regarding the rubbing. I heard, for the first time, some noise from the front wheels over the weekend; so they appear to be rubbing the plastic on sharp turns. This only happened after I washed that area with the power washer.

Doesn't sound serious but I will ask the body shop to look into it.
