Just wondering if anybody has ever heard of the passenger seat on a 5th gen 4runner being able to change position up and down and not just front to back. My driver seat does, but the passenger seat is too high for my husband and he’s only 6 foot. Do they have an option like this on any of the 4Runners? Are they able to swap out seats if they do have that option? Or is it only the drivers seat that has the height adjustment?

I have not heard of 8 way power passenger seats for the 5 gens. Looking at the Toyota website, I don't see it listed as a possible option under any trim level. I'm 6' 2' and agree, the passenger seat is a bit of a pain for me to sit in, so I just end up driving. :)

I have to recline the passenger seat a little more than the driver's seat, but not uncomfortably so. I'm 6'4" and we did a cross country drive this past summer. While I drove most, my wife did a couple of 3 hour stints and I was fine. I know comfort and seat position is subjective, though.

I will say if the driver's side was the same, no height adjustment, I wouldn't have bought the 4Runner.

that is odd. My husband was the second person to say the seat was too high for them. Maybe because they are big guys... not just tall, lol. Who knows... all body shapes are different. I just wish it would move down.

You're not crazy! I'm a 5'7" girl and that passenger seat sits WAY too high! I'm looking for the same type of modification to switch that out. I feel like I'm going to get launched out the front window when we come to a stop!

Yeah, wish my passenger seat would drop a bit. Our 18 highlander pass seat is the same, no height adjustment. So it has to be reclined to feel comfy.

I’m 6’3”, 275 pounds, and in the passenger seat with a sunroof I still have about 3 inches of headroom.

One of my biggest gripes about my 2020 4 runner is the seats. The drivers seat has very little padding, hurts my back on long trips. The pasenger side is too high and not adjustable.

I'm 6'7" 300lbs. I wish my '22 ORP passenger seat would go up and down as well. Tight enough for me in the driver's seat. Seems an odd thing for Toyota to do make a 8 way adjustable drivers seat but only a 4 way passenger. Yah I'm tight in the passenger seat with the moon roof but there are times when the wife needs to drive LOL. I have to leave the moon roof shade/cover open and kind of lean into the hole when I'm in the passenger seat. Couldn't get one without the moon roof here in Canada. Having an 8 way adjustable passenger seat to match the drivers just seems like common sense. Isn't passenger comfort as important as driver comfort. It's not like 4Runners are cheap. But I get it. It's my problem. Doubt many Japanese are my size.
