Dammit Bob! This made me cry. I had a brown lab for 14 wonderful years. I still miss her...

I know I'll be a mess if I loose one of them..... They both are rescue dogs that were given a second chance.

I'm a firm believer that boxers are the greatest breed out there.. having three growing up may make me bias. Can't wait to get into a house and rescue my own.

As for the story of Bella, it seems her time is winding down. Incredible journey though. Absolutely amazing.

A Boxer is a wound for sound complete goof ball of a dog. Not always the smartest dog, not always the best guard dogs because they are so nice but utter love hounds and want to be with you all the time. They love there people that is the truth.

On a side note- I had a tri pod lab at one time still one of the best dog Ive ever had. He was great. Still a lover until the end. Enjoy the time you have with him or her.

Bob: I know exactly how you must feel and I feel so sorry for you and Bella. I've had some wonderful dogs in my 83 years, and I've cried over every one when their time came. I called all my dogs 'Kerry' and the name always reminded me of the others that I still missed. The best cure, and the best memory, is to get another dog and love it. God bless you and Bella. - Ted

This is definitely a heartwarming story. I can relate as my wife and I also own a four-legged companion named Hershey, a cuddly Pomeranian. Like Bella, she also loves to hitch a ride on our weekend road trips (though we'd have to set her up on a dog seat cover, just so she wouldn't make much of a mess in the back seat). As with all fluffy companions, their lifespan would only last for more than a decade. This is a painful truth, which is why we should make the most of our time with them, while they're still with us.

Our cat 'Angel' turns 19 today and is still doing well. I know it will break my heart when she dies, but she will be our last pet, after 6 wonderful dogs and umpteen good cats. I loved them all, but I'm pushing 85 now, so no more. - Ted
