Ordered a TSO low pro bumper on their BF deal. Now the wait begins.

I added some Cali Raised Interior LED lights. At first I didn’t think they were worth the price, but they are insanely bright. Only ones I didn’t add were the puddle lights because of the hassle to install and the vanity lights because I’ve never used one in my life.

I got these too. Different brand but holy cow what a difference! The puddles aren’t very hard really. I found a YouTube video that helped.

The exterior mirror puddle lights aren’t that hard to access. There are two ways to do it, the mirror access or the cover access. I did the cover access method. They’re both described here: PS: I ultimately got the MESO puddle pods. They are extremely bright.

    Tinted fronts, blacked out overlays.
So I Plasti-Dipped my front and rear valances and the Toyota letters on the Faux Pro Grill, came out pretty good for the first time doing it. Also ordered some RSG Sliders and I’m currently 8 weeks out from getting them but I’m Super Stoked. AAB25CF3-CC40-43AA-937F-BCB7D4DF3CFB.jpg

    That looks good..!!
I wish there is a tutorial or even better a video how to remove that hood scoop. I was looking at a hood scoop light bar but scared to remove that sound deadening thing or what ever that is called to see how I can remove the hood scoop.

Bought it last Friday, picked it back up today from the dealer after matching tint and 3M Automask application.

2022 SR5 Premium, very happy with it so far.

    Easy peasy. Nothin to fear

Go to the auto store and get a trim removal tool. Its basically a forked pry bar- pic attached
Use it to pry out the black plastic trim retainers. I put a board under the bar to spread out the load and not pry directly against the hood/insulation.
I left the back plugs in and let it fall down from the front.
Then you’ll see four nuts. Use a 10mm socket to remove.
Then if you look youll see a plastic piece sticking down in the front center i think its orange and on each side youll see two smaller plastic pieces up in some holes i think they are blue. Use a pair of needle nose pliers and compress the two retaining ears and push up a little to disengage. Do center last - i put some painters tape over the scoop so it wouldnt go flying out and fall.

Heres a site that walks thru it too:

Heres a video of somebody who wrapped theirs solid matte

Today was an oil and filter change at 5,500mi.
I had already performed a change at 1,000 mi.

rest of my auto work was wash, decon, claybar, paint correction, ceramic coating on one of my daughters car.

Very nice. 4WD or 2? Mine is a 2 and after years of 4WD Tacoma’s, the RWD seems to drive so smooth. Almost sedan-like.

The ones in the grill? I think that’s the only chrome on the whole truck. I’ll either plasti-dip them or look into switching to the Pro grill.
It’s 4WD, I didn’t know a 2WD model was even an option. I agree, next to my 1st gen Tacoma on 35’s this thing is a Cadillac.

Yes, but all the running gear is there. To me it just feels different. Which I don’t mind at all.

Now I'm Overland ready with my US Action Trax mounted on my LFD Cross Bars.
Can't be a real Overlander without a set of traction boards mounted to your vehicle 24/7/365.

    THX- bud !!

T4R is actually my wife’s ride - I just got the tires (load range E) on sat and I personally have not even driven it yet - she says it’s pretty rough / wandering but is also comparing them to some bald / smooth stock tires

She needed new tires for winter and I got these used with 5k on them off of the Tacoma page for $400 so I put the 2/1 lift on just for these tires and going to give them a try - I believe the wandering she explains will get better once the tires get ran into runner/alignment from being on another truck

Got an alignment after installing my 1" Cornfed spacer last week. Steering wheel was off and I talked to the tech and he said it was pretty far out of spec. Moral of the story is make sure you get an alignment after installing any lift to the front no matter how small.
