Had SL1 i think and an ION both manul shift. Manual windows too. When I was trying different brands. GM rebranded matrix aka vibe for 7 years plus with almost 200k. In the end I came back to the one I know I can trust. T O Y O T A. :hattip:

So now everyone will have to pay for technology on their vehicle because some folks can not do the right thing. Just another way the government is controlling our lives.

When the hands free law went into place, one of the teachers that my wife works with said, something along the lines of, "I guess I can't use my phone while driving now." It blows my mind that even though we all know the dangers of this, it took a law for an educator to not do this.

Yes a Bluetooth deceive will allow for hands free, but the point is an “educated” person that is responsible for “educating” the youth had to wait for a law before being willing or able to drive with out using their phone.

I won’t even begin to tell you all the things I did when I was younger driving, but I will say it’s possible to lay on your roof doing 60 and still drive.

When I was shopping for my 4runner in April 2020 ...the dealerships were all empty. Covid 19 kept everyone home. I could take my pick of 4 runners and got a new SR5 for 4 thousand dollars off the sticker.
Fast forward to last week ....I got offered full MSRP for it by the same dealer. It now has 20k miles on it and they want it back.
Strange times we are in today

We have a Bronco on order and are wondering how we'll pay for it. The 4Runner might go up in value enough to make it possible. :)

It would have to be a ridiculous offer for me to do that.

I saw the same guy! Seriously I saw someone on the interstate years ago eating a bowl of cereal.

I agree with the young girls checking their Facebook page? While driving.

What is really upsetting is seeing a truck driver playing on his IPad.

While the Bronco is very cool I doubt that it will do as good a job retaining its residual value however versus the 4Runner.

I walked into the dealership looking at a Barcelona Red 4R. It had a 3rd row so I passed. They had two coming in. Nautical Blue and Silver. I said I will pass because I wanted white and he said no white ones until January or so. Then I saw 16 white ones and 11 silver ones in one day and decided I wanted NB. Even though I knew this would be the worst color to take care of. I knew how much I hated my Outback. On the day I bought my 4R, I was washing my Outback. I was leaning on the front fender while wiping off my wheels and it completely buckled. 8-10" crease. I said "F this piece of shit." Drove up to the dealership and sales manager was outside. I said do you want to sell me that Nautical Blue 4R. He said "yes" while looking at a huge dent that wasn't there 2 days before. I knew two things. First, I knew Carmax wasn't going to take the Outback and give me what they offered and secondly the 4R wouldn't be there later that day. So they said they would honor the same price for my Outback which was $2K more than I paid. I paid full MSRP plus port options such as black out package which I have already replaced the tires. I ended up leasing the 4R mainly because I know if this market corrects itself I didn't want to be upside down in 3 years and I've never kept a vehicle 2 years. Also I can write it off for my business. I'm very happy and lucky to be back in a 4R at this point. The only mods that I will do are change the roof rails to black ones. Changed to 275's. Adding a 1" front spacer. When lease is up I will see the market and decide if I should buy this 4R or just trade it back in. By then the 6th Gen should be out and I can decide if I want one.

Show us some photos of the nautical Blue when you get some time. I dont see too many of those around my parts. I did test drive a NB. and a black 4 runner...but ended up getting a better deal on a classic silver one in the end.

This is just after I had 275’s installed. Adding a 1” spacer in the front this week.

I like it! It looks very black at some angles and very metallic blue at others.....best of both worlds.
