Took delivery today

The first of 2 ORP's I ordered is here. I have not drove it yet as my wife made the 120 mile trek home in it.

I did something I have never done and got talked into an extended warranty. I don't feel too bad about it, I am going to have high school and college kids for awhile and see us keeping these for the long haul.

Ended up getting a unlimited lifetime powertrain warranty and 7/100k Toyota Care Platinum for 1500. If nothing else it makes you feel good knowing the electronics are coverage beyond the 3/36K bumper to bumper.

Know for the parts I have ready to install.

1. TRD Pro grill
2. Black front and rear bumper inserts
3. Black emblems
4. Black TRD wheels and Ridge Grapplers
5. Predator steps
6. Dashcam
7. Black exhaust tip
8. Black lug nuts

Congrats and $1500 is not that bad of a deal when I have seen some charge that are well north of $2400.

 

you can always negotiate the cost down.

Or even better, an Ohio State Buckeyes tow hitch cover.

 

I had a UGA hitch cover and lost it while wheeling in North Carolina a couple of weeks ago. Seems dragging your hitch thru muddy ditches will "auto-remove" it!

Different wheels and roof rack. Garage clearance is an issue so thinking front only 5100's to level out. Ton of rake.

I thought about this long and hard as the Pro would likely retain value a little better. But in the end there were no white Pro's within 1K miles of me. And I was not going to pay over MSRP.

So figuring the Pro has a base MSRP of $53,335. My ORP was $46,025 after adding MTM and a moonroof that is included in the Pro. That is a difference of $7,310.

Then add in:
Wheels 740 (after selling the stockers)
Tires 780 (after trade in)
Roof rack 603
front and rear valances 337
Heritage grill 443

That is $2,903. I am still $4,407 to the good but do not have the Fox suspension, dual climate, auto headlights, JBL, remote connect and potentially higher resale.

If I could have found a Pro I would have bought it. This was the next best thing for me.

 

Yeah, wasn’t trying to sound negative. Sounded like you met the Pro about half way. - plus those predator steps
But the rake on non-Pros just seems excessive to me.

Dude- just measured. It is like 2 3/4 inches of rake. Going to order some 5100's.

I ordered 5100's for the MGM ORP I am picking up Weds. I am going to level it first. I am concerned that the white one will not clear my garage opening with the Pro rack if it was leveled. 2 inches in the front had to lift the middle a little, right?

Congrats on new purchase. Nice ride. Cool list of startup mods, but WTH is with exhaust tip? Trust me TRDPro that is used as intended is better off without the tip.

 

Installed the black tip to cover the aluminized stock pipe. Just trying to black out the silver.
