Awesome! I wish I still had mine too. The rust underneath was getting pretty bad, but everything else was clean besides a little rust on the front edge of the hood. It had well over 250,000 miles. Great memories. I replaced with a 2010 Blizzard Pearl Venza, which was also a great car too.

Congrats! That makes me feel better that you just got that update. I was given that mid-Dec date as well when I ordered but no updates since and was afraid that that date range would slip. I'm in PNW region so hoping it's sooner (especially since it's a little closer than TN :)).

My dealership has no allocations for the pro so they’re “placing an order” on my behalf and using the original $1000 deposit I had down on the lunar rock to secure it. Could be a few months before it delivers so I guess here we go again with the waiting lol. I asked them what they’re planning on doing with all the ones sitting at the port that Toyota won’t sell (they automatically moved my deposit to a ‘22- no option to wait for my lunar rock) and of course they have no clue. That’ll be interesting if in 6 months to a year a bunch of ‘21 cars are being sold as new…. Weird situation we’re in these days!

Nope, they will sell them as used, worth more in today’s auto market.

Ordered a 4runner limited with the 3rd row in early September, built 9/28, arrived in Newark port 11/6, and just switched to freight status 11/10. Waiting for delivery date to the dealership in MA. Hopefully about 1-2 more weeks at the most.

Mine is projected to arrive at the dealer 23-29 Nov; it is already in freight status. Although I am sure you are a good dude, I hope to hell I don't have to wait until Dec for mine to arrive...

I really don't like the sound of this. Did you contact Toyota directly? If you were willing to wait I don't see why they would do this. This whole situation just doesn't sit well with me, especially knowing how much this particular color/model combo is and has been selling for. I really hope your dealership isn't being shady here.

I agree. Hopefully they are not trying to get over on you and sell it for more to someone else later.

Mine is definitely in mid-December, so happy yours is sooner. Amy at the dealership originally guessed at mid-January, so am glad that I can see end of tunnel. Let us know how the final transaction goes - they seem to have their act together, so I expect it will be good experience.

Man, this is really making me realize how fortunate I was to have a 2021 LR Pro fall into my lap in May for $2,000 above MSRP. I was really frustrated going thru this process in earnest around March when I was finally ready to pull the trigger. The lack of inventory is much worse now!

I will be sure to let you know. She is my salesman as well. She told me they would even pick me up at the airport 2hrs away . Mine was originally supposed to arrive late Oct early Nov, but it was held up at the port for almost a month. I really hope it arrives soon, I sold my Audi Q7 and my buddy comes to pick it up on the 18th. I also do not want my loan approval to expire so I have to reapply; I am worried the rates are going to rise...

I did not contact Toyota directly, i suppose it is possible but the guy I’m working with is the one who sold me my current ‘19 and is a pretty stand up fella. He’s actually not even in sales anymore, has moved into finance but still taking care of all this for me. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I trust him lol. I do love the lunar rock and was looking forward to it but I also like the lime rush so I’m not completely heartbroken. I’m trying to be as easygoing as possible with this haha- it’s not been easy but I trust that the one I’m meant to have will be mine

And he did say that Toyota is the one who did this and they did it to everyone who has a ‘21 allocated already (at least through this dealership- perhaps it’s because I’m in AZ?) so it’s not just me. I thought it was weird too.

Yeah seems fishy considering mine was just delivered 2 weeks ago with a July 30th build date. I don't know why they would just cancel you on Toyotas end. They will sell everything as fast as they can build/ship them. It's not like they need your sale asap. If you are easy going and happy getting a different one, then thats good, but I would have been less understanding than that. I would have waited months longer if need be to get the vehicle I wanted. I wish you all the luck! The 22's definitely have some perks over the 21's if you were not completely set on Lunar Rock.

I knew something was wonky when my vin stopped working in the Toyota app last week. Now that I’m used to the idea, I’m actually looking forward to the lime rush. I’m a big fan of bright colors haha. I would be happy with either color but I do like the extras of the ‘22 as well. (LED drl especially) I will just be glad when all of this is behind me and I have my pretty new friend in the garage!

@JayTD you got me thinking about it again so I just had another conversation with my dealership. The way it was explained to him by his inventory manager is that Toyota moved a majority of the allocations (probably not ALL of them) for the ‘21s that are stuck at the LA port, simply because it’s so uncertain what’s going on there and when it will clear up. from a business standpoint, I can see the logic. They don’t make the sale unless they can deliver a vehicle and the ‘22s are coming in more quickly than the cars currently tied up at that port. ‍♀️

I'm in Tucson and dealing with Josh at AutoNation.
They have had a good rep but just heard from a friend that they are now doing a "market adjustment" of 5K on Pro's. Last week it was only 1K. Hopefully you got something on paper.
I'm waiting on a ORP that's been in port for five days. I have a deal on paper @ MSRP + $500 for dealer add ons. I was searching all over the country for a' 21 white Venture Edition for two months and went through a ton of dealer lies, BS and double dealing. Kinda gave up and then rallied. Contacted Prestige Toyota here in Tucson which was BS, Berges Riverside Toyota in Phoenix which was BS and took a stab at AutoNation in Tempe. Connected with Josh there and lucked out. He went the distance. Told me he had a white TRD Off Road Premium with KDSS and moon roof. I settled w/o the sliding cargo deck. Ran up to Tempe, 1K and ink to paper done deal.
The friend I mentioned had 1K "reservation" on a Lime Rush Pro + 5K "market adjustment" with Desert Toyota here in Tucson. Pro came in and he was told the "market adjustment" had been jacked to 15K, they had "another buyer" and that if he wouldn't pay the adjusted price he could come and get his check. He had nothing on paper. Hope Desert Toyota gets tons of bad juju. Unconscionable!

Oh man that is no good! I HAD everything on paper for the Lunar Rock but since Toyota changed that up, I have nothing. My guy said he will put together paperwork as soon as we have an allocation. I really don’t think he would do me like that, but I will walk if it gets crazy. I have a specific budget I’m staying in and he is very cognizant and respectful of that. I will def report back if things go south though! Thanks for the heads up!
