Hoping there’s somebody out there with a method/tool to clean the underbody - specifically in the winter to get off road salts and such.
All my other vehicles I would just run them through the car wash and get an underbody wash. It does a good job generally speaking. Theres one big BUT though—- its also a sure way to get fine scratch marks and what not in the paint. Really hoping to avoid car washes and only hand wash this one - especially considering it is black.
Winter is coming in the next month and they put down a soooo much salt and other shit that’ll eat metal i cant’t just wait till spring and crawl under it with a pressure washer and its so nasty and cold in winter im not rolling around on the filthy cold floor either.

So who’s got the genius idea or line on a “tool” to do this and if so spill it please!

Are there touchless washes in your area? I use them almost exclusively. After trail runs, I usually go to a DIY car wash and blast off the mud. It should work for salt as well.

Otherwise, the product @Mtbpsych mentioned looks pretty nice.

I too use touchless washes. However (1) first I wash the mud and dirt underbody at home especially to remove the mud and dirt between the body and skid plate. It takes some time to wash that off from the small opening in skid plate. (2)Then I take it to the touchless wash.

For anyone who is thinking "if you are washing first at home and go to car wash, why can't to wash at home?". Water I get outside leaves water spots. Don't want permanent marks with hard water spots. I don't want to wipe with microfiber cloth either.

That's what I've been doing at the diy wash. The pressure washer is great for getting mud out of the crevasses.
