Just changed the oil and air filters after our 4K trip through the SW, along the Cascades, Sierras, and Rockies.

Oh, cleaned the inside of wrappers, etc.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.

Looks like they have higher resolution version too. If any good coupon comes up might want to look at that too.

Finally changed the oil myself since I'm out of free changes from the dealership. Wasn't difficult at all, but definitely more work with the oil filter compared to the Tacoma. I did find one of the bolts for the skid plate was cross threaded. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement bolt?

Hi plasty dipped my valances and they turned out great. After a 3000 mile trip they were scuffed up. All you have to do is lightly sand them with some 150 grit sandpaper and shoot a couple of coats on and they look mew again.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
There's a possibility they won't last very long, but at least you don't have to rebuild the engine to fix that. The bigger concern is the cylinders that get deactivated. It's always the same ones, so those cylinders face extra wear instead of the wear being distributed among all cylinders by changing the cylinders that shut down each time the vehicle stops. Not a good system. If you own a car with one of these systems, it's a good idea to disable the system.

Went from one plate to two plates and tried to get creative with the front plate placement with some toggle bolts. If it starts running hot I guess I'll have to drill holes in the bumper.

I guess if you look closely you can see where I put my worthless deer whistles that I tested out by blowing in the front of them before I stuck them on....you know you did it too.

You'd have to zoom in and see, but you can see the reflection of the E in the gloss paint. So after I cleared it off I redid it and just left the E and copied it over and over. Fun with MS Paint!

Installed the remote start from Accessorides this afternoon. Works just as they said it would. 90 minutes to install. My wife is thrilled that she finally has a vehicle with this feature. We were surprised to find out that it wasn't equipped from the factory on her 2022 SR5 premium.20211104_105358.jpg

It's actually aluminum painted to look like wood.

Sold my Outback Wilderness after 3 months of ownership. I missed the 4R. It was a love/hate relationship with the Outback. Great car to drive, but that CVT is really annoying. Glad to be back in a 4R even if they are overpriced now. I immediately removed the side steps and half of the pin stripping. The SR5P in nautical blue is going to show every scratch, but I really like the nautical blue with beige softer combo. After owning a TRD Pro, I know that all those extra 4WD goodies are not necessary and in most cases not worth the extra money especially with the prices of the Pro now.
