I wound up in MGM by chance. Wilde had 2 ORP's with KDSS on the lot. Both were MGM. I like the color and am happy with it. But, I had a whole list of colors I would have bought.

It matches my TC, so that's kinda cool. :D

Sweet TC. I’d say those are future classics, but they kinda already are.

What's funny is that I bought it hoping to throw some money into it and make it fast. I ultimately realized that I could buy a fast car for less than it would have cost to make the TC fast. o_O

But, it turned out to be excellent for travelling! Decent mileage, and tons of storage with the hatchback. We even used it for a few camping trips.

Was anyone here in Ladysmith today about 11:30am?

I saw a nice looking Nautical Blue? T4R pulling off Hwy 8 on the east end of town as I was heading to Chequamegon-Nicolet NF to look around for my first time. (from Cameron, Hwy 8 E, Hwy 73 S, Cty D E, Cty E S, drove around the Mondeaux Flowage area)

No, but I camped on the Mondeaux last Saturday, and drove around it Sunday! I love that area. I have camped and/or fished on a bunch of the lakes there.

I drove around Mondeaux today and I think I visited that campsite - a very pretty area indeed.

I do need a vehicle pass or day pass to go into the campsite areas and other "Fee area" locations, unless I have a valid camping reservation receipt for that/those days, correct?

I had to run an errand out to Bruce and decided on a whim to drive over there. It must be a haul for you to do that on a weekend. With the errands I ran today plus that exploration, I only put about 175 miles on the 4Runner today.

That picture was taken at Picnic Point, which is one of my favorite campsites in Wisconsin. I believe you can drive through without a pass, but if you're going to stop and fish or launch a boat or kayak then you would need a park pass.

Yes, it is a bit of a haul. That weekend I put over 900 miles on the 4Runner, which isn't actually that uncommon for me to do on a weekend. That is how I manage to average 2000 miles a month without driving it to work, LOL.

Yeah, tell me about it…Im racking up the miles pretty quickly as well. Im finding I need to share the daily driver load with my beater car just so I dont end up having to do preventive maintanance every other weekend lol. My neighbors must think this 4runner is a piece of junk since Im constantly under the thing lol.

Lets see, since February: 3 oil changes, two driveline lubes, shocks/springs, wool wax undercoating, bumper/winch, tire rotations, took up the slack on the parking brake, and I did my rear diff oil last weekend. Coming up on another oil change/tire rotation soon. Add in a few other little projects and Ive pretty much been spending my weekends wrenching on my 4runner (if I havent been on the road with it) I’ve loved every minute, but realized last week I hadnt mowed my lawn in almost two months lol! Thankfully I dont think the lawn looked as bad as what my neighbors were probably thinking. ;) I dont answer to an HOA, so I choose to call it prairie restoration whenever it is convenient for me to do so.

Does anybody know if the milwaukee area gas stations have switched to winter formulation for gas? Not sure if there is a law for when they switch. My mpg has dropped about 1.5mpg in the last week or so. I switched my rear diff oil to 75w90, but have a hard time believing that would cause such a drop…

Good question! I would expect them to switch sometime soon, but I don't really know. Anything else different this week? I'm wondering what else could cause such a drop. It's been cooler, but not cold enough to kill gas mileage like that.

Edit: I just Googled it. According to Google, they can switch over as early as September 15th.

    Thinking outside the box!

Im thinking the gas has to be it. Definitely isnt the lift…already did a few thousand miles on it without a drop.

I wonder if they switch to winter brew up north. I’ll grab a tankful up there this weekend and see.

If it doesnt help, Ill rig up a DEF system and go deisel.

Yup. I have a Bilstein lift. I think Dobinsons are a bit more fancy.

Mine is the more cost effective option. I think ‘Spazz has a higher line than mine. I do dig it, though.

I hadn't heard of Dobs until you installed yours. They seem to have become one of the preferred brands. I have yet to hear a complaint about them.
