Was on my way home from town and decided to explore a gravel road that I'd never been on before. Found an awesome old homestead with a 30's Chevy flatbed and some ancient Case combines. A friend of mine is a budding photographer and is always looking for places to take clients for photo shoots. I think she'll be happy with this place...

Nice photos and composition. Those old places are great.

 

Yeah, the easy to get to spots are overrun by the local party goer kids and shooters. You have to go deeper into the more difficult areas for solitude. Where 4Runners can go.

 

Finally something scenic enough for this thread.

 

That old truck reminds me of these guys. Love the patina.

Getting there. It seems this year many of the leaves are falling off before turning though.

 

Man, I was just out that way and really wanted to go here, but ended up at Berdoo Canyon since it was closer. This looks amazing!

 

Did you run Berdoo Canyon Rd all the way? I found it surprisingly rough...we did the last bit in the dark though.

Looks like an amazing trip. I lol'd pretty good at the picture of you driving the car into the ground.

 

You have some really great trip reports and photos. Now I gotta go see that placard at Soda Lake.

 

Did not get a chance to go all the way as I realized I didn't bring any extra diapers, and it was just about that time of day for my boy lol.

No. Actually we moved cross country so I may never do it again

I was mainly just responding to the post where someone else was in Berdoo Cnyn and because I posted 2 pics of it I thought I'd offer up the whole trip as a link for anyone interested.

 

Oh that is a bummer. Looks like one fun trip though. I remember reading it and was like dang that is one awesome write-up and trip

 

Highly recommend if you've never done it, some of the views are awe inspiring. Sandstone Canyon is closed just 1.7 Miles in due to a rock slide, so take note of that.
