Rifle mount

I’m looking for a mount that would mount 8” barrel 9mm AR (legally a pistol) that would be reachable from the front seats. I like what Big Sky offers but the mount in the cargo area. Any suggestions.

I would see if somebody could fabricate you a Kydex type mount that can be bolted to the right passenger foot well.

Pretty much every AR is different because of the design of the handguard and any tchotchkes you may wish to bolt to it.

I would also assume that anybody would immediately break into your truck once they see this because they assume there is a gun in it.

 

I don’t leave my firearms in my truck. The handgun comes out every time. This is for camping and trails.

 

That’d work great for my handgun. I have a solution but will probably replace it with this.

 

I have a molle seat back that has 2 rifle pouches. Perfect for an AR pistol. I had a mag block mount that I bolted to my console in my excursion that worked well too.

 

Sounds great, who’s the manufacturer?

I think it's this one. There is a bunch on Amazon and you can spend pretty much as much as you want. I just wanted something cheap for my 4runner as I don't daily drive it and have a different setup in my pickup that I daily drive. What kinda mags does your AR9 use? The mag block idea would prolly only work with endomags, I don't know if anybody makes a 9mm mag block mount.

You may be able to use something like this bolted to the console at an angle so the muzzle or handguard rests on the floor to help support the rifle/pistol. 9mm ARs are fun. I just finished building one with a 4" barrel. It will be my new truck gun once I get some more rounds through it to verify it's as reliable as I think it is.
