Fowler Toyota in Norman, OK - $3500 market adjustment until I told them I had other dealers at MSRP. Then they went to MSRP.

These were 5 to 6 weeks ago.

 

John Elway crown toyota does not do msrp, they markup, I was told the other day by my sales guy at valley hi toyota in Victorville they will now ask 10k above msrp for lunar rock or army green for 2022s even though they are not a trd pro due to demand and scarcity. Msrp for "regular" colors

 

We're getting conflicting info then. I had two people at John Elway Crown Toyota tell me they sell all their vehicles at MSRP.

 

I wonder if it’s different sales people. One is trying to see how much they can take the customers for.

 

Toyota of North Charlotte (Hunterville, NC) was adding $5K market adjustment to 22 SR5P, and customer service over the phone was rude.

Modern Toyota in Asheboro, NC was $500 below MSRP, no pressure, no BS and easy to deal with. Purchased a 4Runner for my wife from them yesterday. Gerald was the guy I dealt with and I’d recommend him if you’re in the area.

 

Anyone know the dealerships in NC doing MSRP at the moment?

Just took delivery of a new '22 Limited at Bob Richards Toyota in North Augusta (Beech Island) SC. They initially quoted MSRP + $1795 addendum that includes window tint, nitrogen, floor mats, and a 250K mile powertrain warranty, but they were willing to discount the addendum off. They also discounted out the options that attached in Japan (Toyoguard, Door protection package, dual USB charger) and deleted all of the port options - so I got out for straight MSRP plus tax and doc fee.

This is the same place I bought our '17, and it's sister dealership for my mother in law's Nissan Rogue, so I'm not sure if there was some consideration given for the repeat purchase. I was told they're not marking up anything except the TRD Pro.

Service was great. They worked with two other dealerships to do a three way trade for our Limited. Something about trading something in their inventory for a different Limited, then trading that one for ours at a third dealership.

 

It is insane. I was quoted 66,336 for a 22 ORP with a 2.5 lift, aftermarket wheels and tires. Original sticker price was 49k.

People in the SF Bay Area are actually willing to pay $10k over MSRP. There is a Lime Rush for $10k over MSRP at SF Toyota and it sold after a few days after being in the showroom. People in the SF Bay area just have too much money to not to care.

 

I'm in SoCal - went and checked out a Lime Rush the day it arrived at the lot. It sold that night for $13k over.

I can't understand the mindset that would make such a decision.

 

How about $30k over MSRP? Saw this a few months back.
