Backlighting on GPS screen too dim

Is anyone having problems reading the screen in full daylight? I have a 2021 TRD off road premium and can only see the screen at night (for GPS, radio etc). I found the control to brighten the screen, but it's still barely visible in full sunlight. Can't drive the new truck in daytime. Help!

 

I know with the lights turned on using during the day, I have had trouble seeing the screen before.

 

There is a setting somewhere that turns it to 'night mode' where it's dimmed all the time (maybe linked to when headlights are on? I keep mine on all the time, even in daylight). I can't remember exactly where I found it, but it wasn't the dimmer setting.

 

The dimmer has a second "daytime" setting, rotate the wheel up past the end of it's travel until it clicks. This assuming the 21s have that manual dimmer wheel.

There also is an adjustment within the digital menu. On the 19 it is Settings-Display-Brightness-Day Mode; again, unsure what changes the 21 has.
