Gave my boy a good shower. The tires aren't as shiny anymore.

A bad trail day is like bad sex, still pretty good.

Also, having grown-up in a communist country it depresses and frightens me what is happening in the US today.

Every country has it’s problems. We have some doozies in the USA. But most of us dont reeeeally know what it is to be in despair, and also be surrounded by it as far as the eye can see. Not the “Im depressed I cant get a job”despair, but the “my family might get killed or I could get killed anytime for no good reason”despair. Someone coming from that type of situation will walk into the US with eyes much more capable of seeing the blessings and freedoms we take for granted.

Nobody on the face of the earth is exempt from pain and suffering. Nobody can guarantee that to anyone. Because of this, I strive to take as much as is given to me (opportunities like work, money, travel, posessions) with as much gratitude as possible. Sometimes that takes mental work (especially when having plenty makes us complacent), but ultimately, it’s what we should do. It makes us better neighbors to each other, and better prepared to tackle our problems.

There are plenty of things that need fixing. But we gotta realize in a free society there will always be friction. Hopefully we keep figuring out how to deal with the friction without it coming to blows, and recognize how much we are all being played against each other by those looking to take advantage of chaos and fear they are creating.

BTW, it was mentioned the 4runner is not American. Well, it’s not made here, but the 4runner does trace it’s roots directly to good ole Wisconsin! :D

I think, you where @ the right place to go off-road and test your rig all the way in every possible mode. Drive in the bush between the trees; off the beaten path. I bet there are some interesting challenges. Lol.

It means sleeping around so much and with so many, to the point of addiction and becoming a freaking junkie. And junkies can never be successful.

Looks like a perfect trail and a perfect day for me. If I'm on a trail that will destroy my vehicle, I'm where I shouldn't be. I've been to Moab numerous times with my RZRs. There are some trails I'd take my 4Runner on, but most I would not. I am even apprehensive with my 4 seat RZRs on some trails. It's not fun to me to destroy 30$k + vehicles on rock trails. YMMV

Try the same trail in mid January, maybe it will be a little more challenging then. We go on some boring trails once in a while but it's still a chance to "exercise" the 4wd part of the transfer case. Keep looking around, there are bound to be miles of old logging roads around you.... Washington right?

There's a fine line between an easy trail and an impassible trail, just like there's a fine line between a good day and a bad one. Would you have had more fun if you got stuck and had a $900 tow bill?

Mixing metaphors and with apologies to Charles Dickens, the disappointment of the trail and state of America in general is like the opening line of ““Trail” of Two Cities”:

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.”

I bet living in a communist Society can't get worse than the living under a bunch of radical religious psychopaths, who will put you to death because God told them to do so. If I had to choose between getting killed by Stalin or Bin Laden, honestly I would choose Stalin lol.
One of the most beautiful things about America is separation of the state and church.

Well said. We, the citizens of this good country, have our varying and differing views on right and wrong, good and bad, etc. But there are those in leadership positions in this country who are doing their damnedest to divide us and make us hate each other. That’s where the real trouble is IMO. I refuse to hate those who think differently from me.

:D Honestly the trail is fine. The 4Runner is an over kill. It is like dispatching the F-22 to intercept North Korean Mig-23s. There is no way F-22 would the get the chance to use its thrust vectoring and short range offbore sight heat seaking missiles :D

Then why did you title your thread, "What a stupid trail?" You stated in your OP that you would never go back. WTF? Either the trail is stupid or it is fine. Make up your GD mind.
