Toyota sold motorcycles in its showrooms; production lasted from 1949 through 1960. Honda for sure takes the Motorcycle crown with the 1949 D-Type, the first Honda to go by the name Dream. In 1961, Honda achieved its first Grand Prix victories and World Championships in 125cc and 250cc.

I had a Honda CB750 in 1969 for those days this was top of the line. Btw. the 1968 CB750 was the first superbike in the World.

Friend sends hundreds of used beat-up cars to places like Afghanistan every year, and each car costs him something like $2,000. And he is not Toyota

    Shipping Costs
The cost to ship a car from Japan to the United States can vary significantly depending on vehicle size, the distance between origin and destination, and the shipping method that is used. On average, you can expect to pay between $3,500 and $6,000 to import a car from Japan to the U.S.
I hear that today, with all the ship containers anchored off the California coast and the dockworker /truck driver shortgages it had doubled in cost.

Look, Toyota 4Runner is the highest quality in its class and also the cheapest, why? Means it doesn't cost too much to get the car shipped to the United States from Japan.

This is the price from Japan to the US, without even shopping around for the best price. This is about correct. I shipped a car from LA to Antwerp for $1,500 in a container.

The cost to import a car from Japan to USA starts around $2000+ per car. The price for importing a car from Japan will depend on the type of vehicle, the shipment type chosen for ocean transit, and the distances from the origin and destination ports. Those are just some of the factors that affect the price of shipping a car from Japan to the United States. https://www.schumachercargo.com/jp/import-car-from-japan/

The deal that large car manufactures have will not be more that $800 per vehicle on average. The below video is a must see, will give anyone a better idea on this subject.

The largest automobile transporter in the world. Two hundred meters long, thirty-six meters wide. But the major attraction is actually behind the steel hull: A gigantic cargo area: In total over seventy-one thousand square meters. Enough room for eight-thousand-five-hundred cars. And hundreds of the so-called “High- and Heavies”: Gigantic machines of any kind. Her journey takes the fully loaded “Trapper” on a journey covering 28,000 kilometers. The starting point: Antwerp in Belgium.

In the end, isn’t the consumer paying that delivery fee?
The last 4Runner build I did had it at $1215 for delivery, process and handling fee.

I sent my dad's 4Runner, received the shipment in Kabul Afghanistan, and the whole thing cost me like a little over $8,000. Come on guys, nobody is paying eight grand to ship cars. I bet Toyota pays 500 bucks to get a car shipped :D
