    Hello all,

I just noticed something this evening with my driver's side coil that doesn't seem quite right. It looks like it's compressed hard up at the top, whereas on the passenger side there's the proper spacing between them.

    Driver's Side:

    Passenger side:

It's driving okay and I haven't noticed any difference in the ride, but, this doesn't seem right and I'm wondering if this may be part of why I've been having issues with rubbing on stock tires over on the Driver's side and caster being at 4 degrees while on the passenger side I have plenty of clearance. I'm not sure what has happened here.

looks normal, spring sitting in a different location. to check if collapsed, measure top of tire to wheel well arch while on level surface. should be pretty close.

Where and when is it rubbing? How much lift?

Just looks like the end of your coil on the drivers side

2.5 inch lift. Driver's side tire rubs on the frame mount at full lock in reverse, and occasionally catches on it moving forwards when at full lock. Since this is looking normal I think I'm just going to go back to my stock wheels and see if that fixes the issue.

I would be curious on how the rear lower control arm cam looks. when the alignment was done, they may have needed to bring the caster down or camber out. If the lower control arm cams are near full swing, it can push the tire back in wheel well.

i would also check the bushings on the control arm. They can tear if not loosened before installing a lift. this will also let the wheel move in wheel well and cause intermittent rubbing.
