Has anyone installed a pelfrey roof rack with a light bar? I am looking at getting a roof rack and wanted to know how well it was driving with it on the highway? Also how well does the light work being that far back on the roof?

Not sure about that brand. We just ordered a gobi with wind deflector hoping that will help with noise and mileage. Anyone else got any ideas?

That is one awesome TRD PRO. Do you have any other mods planned?

Relentless how is the wind noise with the rack with a light bar? Also what style light bar fits single,or double row?

Jerry looks very nice I will check them out.

Racks have been close to silent in my experiences, only get additional noise with cargo stacked on it. The light bar would mount to the top at the front of the rack, you could fit any 40" you want dual or single row for that reason. I plan to offer a full length rack in the future, it should allow for a recessed single row bar in the fairing panel for a sleeker appearance and extra cargo room. That rack is probably 1-2 months out before design/testing though. Need to get caught up on current orders then bring my wife's '16 TEP into the shop for the R&D on the full length, but bumpers will be first on it.

Will the full length have to be drilled into the roof?

It will for forward support, which is the reason my current rack is 3/4 length. Owner of the initial donor rig I used to design the rack wanted to bolt to factory locations and I didnt want 3ft of rack forward of the front mounting locations. full length will have a front support to distribute load, now that we bought a 5th gen for my wife we'll do full length. Not afraid of holes. We already hacked the fender wells out and stuffed 35" tires on 3" lift with only 3000 miles on it. :D

Thanks Palerider but it is not a TRD PRO it's a 16 trail with a lift , tire, wheels, rack, light bars. I was worried about having to drill holes in mine for the rack and looked up Baja Racks and they do not require you to drill . The front support is double stick taped in place in the gutter with adjustable front legs. I have loaded the rack full of camping gear and wood and the thing did not move at all. Unloaded it dose not move either.

Thanks Jerry. We should have our rack sometime in October and was curious if it would change at all. That gray color looks fantastic on your rig and the KDSS is almost bullet proof on the trails. Prob better than the PROS.
