I’m sure there’s a million threads out there, but I’m looking to replace the wife’s tires on her 21 Venture. I really like the Falken Wildpeaks but am open to suggestions. Current set up below (265/70R17)

Falkens are a popular choice on these threads.

Get the Falkens. There are a million and one choices and the Falkens check every box.

I just ordered some General Grabber ATX, the falken's were my second choice, but the GG's were slightly cheaper and I've used them in the past on my old 91 Hilux.

    Yes, there are. But...

If you like Wildpeaks, there's no reason not to get them. They're a bit heavy, and once in awhile someone gets a set that won't balance. Other than that, I hear nothing but praise for them.

There are also a number of other fantastic choices, if you want to make the decision harder... Pirelli Scorpion, Toyo AT3, Yokohama Geolander, Nitto, Mickey Thompson, KO2, Duratrac, etc, etc.:goingcrazy:

Do you off-road it? If you're planning on any rocky trails, it could be worth going LT. If not, stick to SL tires for the best fuel economy and ride comfort.

I actually just put the Toyo AT3 on my Tundra beginning of August and love em! I had the Wildpeaks on my previous Tacoma and was really happy with them, they’ll most likely end up on her 4Runner

I run the ATX on mine as well. Great tires, I'm very happy with them. Also made in the USA, unlike Thailand or wherever the Falkens come from.

IMO the Falken was a better option when it was cheaper, it's lost it's budget price over the past year.

I replaced the tires on my Venture with Toyo AT3's in the stock size and load rating. They are close to the same weight as the Duelers.

By combining deals with Discount Tire and Discount Tire Direct I got four of them including mounting balancing for $650 after tax. Part of that was trading in the original tires for the mounting and balancing and they gave me a $40 credit for a future purchase.
I wrote a post about how I did it , search for it if you are interested.

They are just tiny bit louder than the Duelers and I can't tell a difference in the ride quality. MPG seems to be the same.

I've only had them in the rain and they're great. Looking forward to trying them in the snow and ice.

Would have gone with the Wildpeaks as well, as it happens the sale at that time was for Toyo tires.

There's probably a dozen rabbit holes you can go down and not make a bad choice. Pick one, let us know your findings.

I'm running Falkens Wildpeaks AT3 on my Tundy... Won me over it's competition, ie Coopers, KO2, IMG_20210307_161758.jpg IMG_20210303_165233.jpg Nittos, BFG, etc.
Falkens are solid and true, both on and off road.. Great choice.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
Put stock size SL Falkens on the same day I drove it off the dealer lot. Great in the rain seemed fine in the snow.

Trying something different now - Mud Terrains!

That's great to hear, do you run the SL or E load rated tires?

    Falkens!
Have them on my 3rd gen and really like them. When the Generals wear down on my 5th gen, I will replace them with Falkens also.

    And thank you!
Looks like exactly what I would like to do. Do not want to go extreme as to affect the dynamics of the vehicle.
Were you able to stay with any stock suspension parts?

Yes, my UCAs are factory. That was one of the reasons I did not want to go to larger tires. The folks at Eibach stated that most people were running their kit with the original UCAs, if I wanted 285s upgrading the UCAs would be suggested, with the 265s I find the truck has a GREAT ride and no corner lean or break dive.

I'm running SL. If I spent more time offroad I'd have considered E, but this is my DD, I didn't want all the extra rotational weight of the E. If they were offered in a C I'd probably have went that route.

totally get that, I'd have gone C as well if it was offered at Discount Tire. I did see C rating on tire rack, but for only a few bucks more per tire installed at DT I got E rated. I can feel the extra weight, but I do go offroad to hiking trailheads often and the piece of mind for future camping trips made me choose E. What I found most surprising was the the road noise was somehow less with the GG than the stock tires and they look soo much better!

I had them on my Tacoma and now have them again for our 21 Tundra. Not the price bargain that they used to be, and aside from being pretty heavy they are a really good all-around tire.

Has these mounted today. Cost me $505 out the door from Discount Tire, immediately met the guy who was buying the stocks for $350. After it was all done, four new Falkens on the wife’s 4Runner for $155 out of pocket. Today is a good day
