I was looking at ordering some Bilstein 4600s for my 3G4R (part no. 24-187244) and their site came up. They have a good price at $84 per shock (compared to ~$125 msrp and $160 at shock surplus), they said that the part wont be shipped for about 2 weeks which isn't great but tolerable at that price.

Looked them up at a few site review websites and the reviews were awful. Poor service and customer support. But the only people leaving review on websites like that are the ones motivated through bad experiences. Anyone bought from them since covid began?

I had experience ordering from cover king and saw my money leave my account and a 2 month arrival date come and go without anything so much as an invoice, I was about to call my bank about retracting the payment when the seat covers finally arrived 3 months later. I don't want to put up with that kind of aggravation again.

I’m a half an hour from their massive storefront in Arlington, so I haven’t ordered online in years (they were great at the time), so I can’t speak to that. I can tell you that, in my experience/opinion, they are an incredibly reputable vendor, well-known and respected in the racing industry, with a pretty solid track record. I’ve never had anything but satisfactory interactions with them and wouldn’t hesitate to order from them in the future.

They’re good. Very competitive with Jegs. Which should carry them too but at a better price?

Summit is legit, just be careful of Summit branded parts.

    All of them.
Good to go with summit they usually try to beat their lead times. Earlier this year so post/during covid I ordered a set of king springs 700# and they showed up 3 days later. Ordered a couple Jerry cans from them for testing purposes (cheap no name wavian knock offs) and they showed up about two weeks after order. Both times everything was showing in stock.

Yep, have order a number of parts from Summit, when my dad and I did NHRA drag racing. They are great to order from, have a great customer service team, and return policy if needed. I actually ordered my UCA (OME) from them.

    Cheers,

    Sean

I couldn’t of rebuilt my small-block 350 without them. Even had the right engine mounts.

Well now it’s a 383 ci. I got my bearings, plastic gauge, GM high pressure oil pump, and a bunch of other stuff from them.

I've ordered from Summit in the past, and it was a good experience.

FYI - I got the front and rear Bilstein 4600 from BilsteinLifts.com in July 2021 for $327 with free shipping, and they shipped two days after ordering. I got one package 4 days after ordering, the other 5 days after.

They’ve been around forever; have ordered countless parts and misc stuff from them over the years.

Looking back at your post from two years ago, it's clear that you were considering your options for ordering parts. Online reviews can be a mixed bag, and it's true that negative experiences tend to stand out.

Just as you might have researched reliable sources for fitness gear, like TuffWraps, it's smart to do your due diligence when choosing suppliers. While past experiences can shape our decisions, sometimes the best way to find out is to try it out for yourself.

Wishing you smooth sailing in all your projects, whether it's vehicle parts or fitness equipment!
