Odd that it has the older style pro wheels. Maybe the owner dislikes the newer style and swapped them out?

    Hmm, I kinda like it.

Even if it's pretty weird, I like that Toyota is doing something different.

Same here, but I think I'd get annoyed by that color after 30 minutes or so.

In his post he said it was a prototype and may explain the old style wheels. The production models show having the flow form wheels.

Its just me personally I don't like odd colors from vehicles like Prius on a 4Runner. I love Army Green the best.

It is similar to the color on the Prius which was 588 or something like that, which is the same code for ELM on the 22 Tacoma TRD Pro. The paint code for Lime Rush is 5C3 and is the first time this paint code has ever been used.

    Hmmmmm..,,,

I think that color would get old really quick.

Reminds me of my mother in law's Saturn wagon.

I thought its similar to the paint in 2015 ones. Anyways some people would definitely love these kind of colors, so not saying it's a bad color.

I get your point though. I don’t like seeing my Lunar Rock color on the RAV 4, and the fact that Toyota is putting it on multiple 4Runner trims for 22 is why I ordered a 22 in Lime Rush. Since 22 is supposed to be the last year of the 5th Gen, even if they use the color on the 6th Gen trims, the 22 model will still be unique.

Oh shoot.. apologies (I'm seriously sorry), I did not see that you ordered one until now. I don't want to say anything negative for a new purchase.

I don't think 2022 will be the last year for the 5th gen.

I wonder this rumored picture is an indication that in 2022 we will see a resign for Sequoia & 4Runner for 2023 model year?

It's running late because Toyota decided to change the hybrid system in the 4Runner last minute so that the driver could choose between electric and ICU power when they wanted too. At least that's the rumor. :gossip:

As such, the earliest scheduled production is set in Q1 2023 and probably available in Spring 2023. Not sure if this will be considered a 2023 model year or 2024?? However, that timeline could be pushed back. It would be very unlikely if it was pushed forward.

Most people seem to think that 23 will be the first year of the 6th gen and that it will be available in the fall of 22. But the only way we will know for sure is when the time comes.

What's hilarious is when lunar rock came out, everyone and I mean literally everyone on tacomaworld was saying how disgusting and hideous it looks. I think it became extremely popular because once the 2021 pro became scarce and had markups all of a sudden it became an amazing color everyone wanted (stupid sheep mentality). I think right now it's cool to hate this color but once production dwindles down and there's a 20k markup, all of a sudden it will be the next awesome must have color

I don’t know. I honestly dont think I ever met a single person that actually said Lunar was ugly. To each his own I guess but I just don’t see this as being a must have color like Army or Lunar have become.

Lunar rock depended how you saw it, photos didn’t do it justice, and in some light it was blah, but others it was nice.

Army Green is kind of the same, I don’t think pictures showed how awesome it is, that could be me, because I wanted to like it and wasn’t willing till I saw it in person. Now waiting for mine.

Lunar is a good color for longevity. It’s not gonna show chips, door dings, and scratches as much as a MGM or Blue or RED. Like silver, it’ll still look pretty good 10 years down the road.

That said, it’s not a color that pops when detailed.

Both lunar and army look best during the dusk hours of an evening. I might have went army green but I specifically didn’t like the way it looks in bright sunlight. In the dusk hours of evening it looks sick though. Same for nautical blue in the other trims.

My current three vehicles are white, the Yukon I traded in on my 4R was white. I wouldn't hesitate to grab a lime rush 4R or maybe a lunar rock

I like it. Blackout the chrome letters/emblem in the back and it's good to go. And I also remember what people were saying when Lunar Rock 1st came out lol. 80% were negative comments.
