That's the way that Toyota works I found out. Basically there's a drawing for allocation of units to the dealers. After that Toyota still has to select the builds they want to do and mine wasn't selected. Apparently these 2 Limited's were selected though.

It's a horrible system as a buyer but I guess Toyota has a reason for it.

That's why I'm waiting until the 3rd of October and then getting a Nori Green GX 460 if my 4Runner build hasn't been accepted.

The GX build is normal for my region so I should get it quickly while the 4Runner build isn't as I want KDSS but no Moonroof on an ORP.

I figured there'd be a drawing for allocation to a dealer (like saying "okay dealer you get 3 builds from this drawing") and then they'd be built in order of submission but I guess that's not the case which is disappointing as there's no guarantee my build will be selected in the next 6 months.

The screenshot shows a region of KC.

They color codes of the ones they have coming are 0070 (White Pearl) and 017F (Classic Silver Metallic) so no red yet.

That is not Lime Rush, that is electric lime metallic. Lime rush has a different paint code (5C3) than the ELM has (588). Based on the name I imagine it will look somewhat similar, but it has a totally different paint code. Hopefully it is more of a matte color like in the Costco pic rather than what the Tacoma looks like.

They are making it confusing this year instead of just making all Pro models in the same special color for the year. I look forward to seeing what it really looks like.

Good luck getting a Costco discount. My dealer wouldn't even consider it, and that was before the current rush.

I did get a great discount from 1 dealer and a crappy one from another. I reported the crappy dealer to Costco auto. They want to know who is naughty and who is nice. Lol

I didn’t get the truck because they wanted to add “resist all” for $800. I said, “whaaaat!” “Resist all and Toyota guard platinum is about $1400!” And then a big no!

Yeah I was more excited that the 2022's are out in the wild and pull up by VIN on the Toyota website.
